Nail Lounge by Crystal, Austin TX

I’ve been coming here through all the ownership changes and still love it. Tammy is the best and always does a fantastic job with my gel nails.

I recently went for my second gel manicure at the salon, and I must say, Sue is phenomenal at what she does. Her expertise in techniques and products is evident, and she takes her time to provide a professional service. Her attention to detail is remarkable, and she ensures that I am entirely satisfied with my nails. I highly recommend her services.
Update:
The only problem I encountered was with communication about confirmed appointments. After scheduling an appointment online, I arrived at the salon only to find it closed with a sign indicating that it would reopen in two days due to internet difficulties. Unfortunately, I was neither contacted about the closure nor given the option to reschedule.

Not sure what's with the bad reviews but there is a new management and the salon is no longer called Nail Lounge by Crystal. I went in with my scheduled appointment but clearly saw new techs were there (except one) and the place was getting an overhaul. Don't use the online scheduling service because most of them aren't there anymore.

Overall, I've had 5 different techs from my visits but I have been satisfied with all. Two of them were not there when I went (Mindy and Sue) but my latest visit was probably my favorite set of nails. Jennifer and Mai (new techs) did such a wonderful job.

I agree they do take more people than they can but I've never had an issue when I had made an appointment. I also agree they can go overboard with the acetone. Street parking only nearby.

The last picture (green cat eye nails) were from this new management. First two pictures (both chrome) were from the previous management, Nail Lounge by Crystal.

DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME.
I have never ever left a review on a business. But after this experience… there is a first time for everything!
I’ve been coming here for almost a year. It used to be Nail Lounge by Crystal. Now it is River City nails or something.

I went in to get a dip mani. The lady was rude. They always take on so much more than they can handle. Over booking appointments. I waited 15 minutes after scheduling 2 appointments. My friend waited 30 to even be seen.

I asked for a proper manicure, the lady didn’t soak my nails, take care of my cuticles or get under my nails. Like… at all. And she was really rude!

I asked for a simple toe nail polish change which I usually pay $10 for. And she charged me $20!
$20 to JUST paint toe nails. Insane.

I will l never come back to this place! I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone I know. It’s sad, because before this I told all my friends to come here!

Dont go there! I had a bad experience and my hands are bleeding everywhere. And the tech there are not patient, will not reccomend to anyone.

I picked this salon because it had decent reviews. However I’ve been twice now, have seen 2 different techs, and it was the most unenjoyable experience I’ve had in a salon.

The first time I made an appointment but wasn’t seen until 40 minutes after my appointment time. I had somewhere I needed to be and had allowed an hour and 45 minutes for a pedicure and I still wasn’t done in time I had to leave without any polish on my toes.

The second time I went was to get my SNS dip powder removed. They charge $12 for this and have you soak your entire hand in a bag of acetone repeatedly for 30 minutes or so. This obviously completely dries out your hands and fingertips to the point where now they feel like they’re cracking. My nails were also very thin and she kept using a really rough drillbit on my nails - I yanked away three times in pain. I will not be returning to this salon.

They also had super hectic electronic music playing. Which is an interesting choice for a salon atmosphere.

Horrible experience. Spent over 3 hours waiting around for a basic manicure and pedicure. She didn’t even buff the nails and now they’re razor sharp. I’ll have to buy something myself to do it at home because they’re way too sharp right now. I will not come here again

I've only been once and got the basic pedicure but from my experience I'll definitely be trying Nail Lounge by Crystal again.

I called to see if they could fit in two last minute pedis on a Saturday. Even though they were about to close for the day, they didn't rush the service, everyone was very friendly, and the entire place was very clean.

They really know what they’re doing! I’ve gotten some of the best dip manicures in my life here. Thank you!

This place was so dark inside. No outside light at all. Felt like a dungeon. When I walked in there was only one person having their nails done. I’d made my appointment online and chosen the service I wanted. First I was left by myself for far too long before someone finally came to me with a service menu. I said I’d already selected what I wanted when I made the appointment. Evidently, they hadn’t looked at this. I told them and they said they can’t see the online specifics for appointments. Why do they allow this then? The whole thing just felt so wrong. I got up and walked out. They tried to get me to stay and I said no. I called my regular place and went there. I’ll be giving my business to my regular place from now on.

I am very impressed with the quality of care & service in this establishment. The attention to detail is on point! It is also very clean, the prices are fair, and there’s a VERY wide selection of colors available. Ask for Sue! She did a fantastic job on my nails, and gave me EXACTLY what I asked for. I’m very happy, and will be coming back here for future appointments. Thank you!

I usually get either gel or dip manicures here often and absolutely love them! I request Sue each time and she is keen on the details and always does an amazing job. The salon is clean, well priced, and provides complimentary beverages. The experience is always incredible and I am glad I found my place in Austin!

Great service! Sue is amazing with shaping my nails! She takes her time to make sure I’m happy with the shape, which I feel like other nail salons don’t! 10/10 recommend!

Sue was absolutely incredible! She paid so much attention to detail and made sure I got exactly the design I wanted. I even had two glasses of mimosas! Would recommend this place to everyone. I’m so happy!

Tammy was amazing! I went in for a gel manicure, but she took the time to explain why dip powder might be better for what I was looking to accomplish and then she helped me find a dip color that closely matched the gel one I had picked. It was spot on! She shaped my nails in a way that was right for my nail bed, and did a fantastic job from start to finish. I couldn’t be happier with the results and I will definitely be back!

I have had a wonderful experience each time I come to Nail Lounge by Crystal! I definitely will be coming back more! Everyone is very welcoming but special shout-out to Sue who has been phenomenal with every visit! From offering a drink for each visit and taking gentle care of my nails, I had an excellent experience every time I visit!

Great experience! The technicians are very nice and thorough, I have gotten a gel manicure and pedicure! Salon came under new management, and the service is just as good! I always get Sue and she is the best!

I absolutely love coming to Nail Lounge by Crystal. They are under new management and are so diligent when it comes to doing nails. I see Sue and she is the best! Also, this is the only quality nail salon on the east side of 35, trust me, I've vetted. The salon is also very clean and street parking is free. Come here and you won't regret it.
