National Museum of the Pacific War reviews
13Incredible space, the exhibits are very well done and informative. The staff was professional and helpful. I missed the Pearl Harbor programming but heard it was phenomenal.
Great place to see American history of Pacific combat zones. Several visits are recommended.
Always a great experience. We go at least 2 times a year and always when friends and relatives visit us in Texas
Very informative and educational. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Especially Adult Programs Coordinator, Lauren.
This museum was fantastic! The Grounds are beautifully manicured! Loved seeing all the pictures of men that served and died for our great country! The Oriental garden was gorgeous and the staff very friendly and informative! I definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Fredericksburg TX!
Emotional - great clear information. Sets the scene historically from 1800s and takes you through Nimitz and WW2 in an understandable way. We spent about hour and a half and would happily have stayed longer if we'd had time. Paid entry so check current prices. You walk through information boards, can push buttons for extra information and words from those involved, lots of exhibits of vehicles, uniforms and so on, including a submarine. Great restroom facilities, directions are marked if you need to rest or visit restroom during the tour. Fascinating and distressing.as is war.
I have been to several war museums in my life, including Pacific war museums. The details covered on the Pacific war here is one of the most complete I have seen anywhere. Amazing. The gentleman who was answering questions and giving details was funny and added to the experience.
A world-class museum in a wonderful town. Admiral Nimitz was a great hero! Any other heroes are represented at the museum.
Super heavy energy in this place. Not bad, just heavy. Military and senior discounts help the expensive ticket prices. The museum is dedicated to those who did what they had to do to stay alive and more so for those who paid the ultimate sacrifice on both sides of the belligerent parties. If you're sensitive, this place will drain you. Just know before you go. Great place to visit when your tired of the normal wine and dine the Fburg has to offer. I don't normally cry. The energy here is sad and oppressive. Unfortunately, it's a story that must be told. Plotted. Scouts Out.
Very kind staff, If you are near San Antonio, TX, don't miss this great museum. It's full of information for a whole day. Information presented through audio, video, original exhibitions, lots to read and learn. Also check out the “Battle Zone, ” a recreated battlefield just a few minutes’ walk away
A wonderful museum, my nephew and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Very informative, the details and collections and items are amazing. 10/10!
It showed how Americans fought in the world war 2. Loved the museum, and it took us 75min -90min to fully cover the museum.
Been to a lot of big museums, but this was one of the very top in terms of story and historic detail. Not as many big pieces (though they do have some very cool ones), but very well laid out, very thorough and rife with detail and fun factoids. Reading everything, the first half an hour was just getting into the 20th century! Highly recommend.
