18 Spoke with a rude representative from neighborhood credit union by the name of Jennifer from the corporate office (so she says). She wouldn’t give me her last name but she was with the disputes department. I wanted information about my account and all she was doing was chastising me like I was one of her kids or a employees she supervises. I’m a customer not kid or a employee of yours. Jennifer was being very rude and talking ALL over me. She acted as if she was agitated because of my issue. I asked her repeat not to talk to me in a tone as if I were one of her kids and were in trouble for doing something wrong again. Again, She got loud and talked over me. Very very aggressive and demanding tone. Nothing about Jennifer was pleasant for her to be a superior or a representative of your company. I’ve Never had a problem or issue with neighborhood but now I see why they have such bad ratings on customer service related issues. I bank with other banks as my main and I’ll continue to do that. Jennifer needs more customers service training or if she’s upset or having a bad day maybe she should avoid taking phone calls. Rude, unpleasant tone and definitely needs more coaching
As stated before I don’t have a problem with your policy. I’m now aware and I understand fully. Again, My problem was with your representative Jennifer’s delivery and tone. I felt personally attacked while speaking with her on the phone. No matter what the bank policy is no one should be spoken to in a unprofessional and unpleasant tone. Cash app has nothing to do with Jennifer’s choice of words or behavior when representing NCU.
Came here to get an instant card since mine was stolen. 24 hours after the card was issued; there was a fraudulent charge. Called and they told me I had no other option than to cancel the card then go get another one or wait 7-10 business days to receive one in the mail. Told them I would wait since I didn’t trust the instant cards anymore. 10 days later, still nothing. So I called and was told my old card was cancelled but a new one wasn’t even ordered. Does that make sense to anyone? ! Then the representative stated again, “Would you like to go get an instant card or wait 7-10 business days? ” with no empathy. Might just end up closing my account and going to another credit union because this is just ridiculous.
This is the best Credit Union with the best staff. They take care of their members. Arlena and Veronica were excellent.
I recently met and worked with the new Branch Mgr. (Rebecca) at the Campbell Rd.location.she was awesome! Pleasant, most helpful, and very professional. This branch would warrant SIX stars if the grading system would allow. However, one major gripe totally unrelated to the Branch and directed at Top Management is directly responsible for my overall rating. Not everyone wants to converse with robot "Nick" nor listen to him type on his fake keyboard at the beginning of the new automated message.and not everyone enjoys chatting with someone on line. The last (3) times I have called the only Customer Assistance number available, the wait time has been between 30 - 45 minutes to reach a live assistant. COVID may have been a legit excuse for this months ago, but not now. These hold times are very unprofessional, as is trying to force people into conversing with "Nick". Quit trying to be cute, and just do whatever it takes to rectify this situation.
Arlena made my car buying experience so smooth. I really had a sense of protection and peace of mind working with Arlena, she walked me through the process from start to finish and I am now in a car I could have never imagined I be in! Don’t choose any other bank to finance your next car through! I would also like to thank Frank and Dede for all the work they put in as well. Thank you!
Came into my credit union for a cashier's check and was told it's at $7 transfer fee! I've been needed a cashier's check in sometime everything's done electronically. But $7?
I'm not sure if switching Credit Unions was such a good idea, only problem with mine was I couldn't stop in and use the lobby. Stop in the lobby here and they bend you over! I was corrected you can get a free cashier's check as long as it's over $5,000. No I'm not buying a house no I'm not needing a down payment on my car. I just want to pay my rent
I worked with Arlena & Veronica for my car loan. I didn't have to move a finger! They made the phone calls to the dealership, negotiated the price on my car and my new vehicle is in the driveway! The service was so great that now my husband is working with them to get his new car. If you want great customer service and a stress free loan process then I suggest you request Arlena Johnson & Veronica Lee from NCU! I am one happy customer!
Luis Arreola and his team has been an exceptional team. They have always provided courteous outstanding customer service As a 35 year member, its always a please to be a part of a Credit Union that take care of of its customers.

New to Dallas and needed to find a financial institution that provided what my former bank provided if not similar. Neighborhood cu made it an easy transition. Very patient and answered all questions kindly. Very pleased with services.
As someone who’s been with NCU for quite some time, it’s nice to see familiar faces whenever I do have the chance for a in person visit. Elena and Louie are always so courteous and kind, it’s hard to stay in a bad mood when they get the opportunity to help you! My visit was quick and friendly, which I greatly appreciate, especially in this “new normal” world COVID has caused us to adapt to. It’s nice to know that these small interactions I have with them from time to time are always consistently friendly and sincere.
Why are yall closed from 11-12. If it's for lunch should be routed. I drove 30 minutes to get here. Now I have to wait another hour to get a replacement card.makes no sense
Many better options out there. Always a long wait when you call to speak with a person about your account. It took over 30 minutes this last time. This was our LAST time calling as I had plenty time to apply to open a new account at another credit union online while they kept me waiting, and when they did finally answer my call, I asked them to close our account and send us our money.
CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE! You would think credit unions should be more personalized and easier to accommodate your needs but this is by far the worse credit union to do business with! Ruth, was very rude! Her customer service isn’t to help her customers but to simply get them off the line! I told my concerns more than once and she was basically like oh well have a great day. That hurt my heart because with everything going on you would think people would be a little more compassionate and understanding and helping. Ruth I hope you never have to deal with one as yourself. To make matters worse 577.00 of my stimulus was taken and no option to refund or receive a portion!
The online new account set-up process was secure and easy to complete. Love the Zelle funds transfer option! Awesome experience

I absolutely love this Credit Union. Coming from a place of being irresponsible and young and messed up my credit, I couldn’t get a checking account. I was able to join Neighborhood Credit Union and get the second chance checking account and was able to transition to a regular account after a year. Always excellent customer service and when I have an issue which is rare they are always able to assist me. I am a member for life.
NCU has good CD interest rates for today’s low markets, convenient locations, and great hours. When I needed help opening an account, Luis Arreola made things so easy for me. He had all the paperwork ready to go, was professional, organized, thorough, and gracious, and everything was taken care of easily within minutes. NCU is extremely Covid conscious and even has a drive thru where you can speak to a representative via a camera. I have since opened more CDs there and am extremely pleased with this new banking relationship.
