NeuroTexas - Dr. Douglas J. Fox Jr, MD reviews
5Waiting room very small with few patients in it. Receptionist gave me 15 pages to fill out.eventually I was put in exam room after completing 15 pages of questions that ask the same thing and your name of bd and etc on top of page. Dr fox came into exam room he never examined my painful back or leg.lots of traveling time in the heat and all that traffic, dr fox only looked at X-rays and made his opinion there! (cocky) The exam could have been over the phone. … maybe he’s is better for others.make your own copies of medical reports if you are bringing your own.filling out all the pages of questions took lots longer then time dr fox spends with you.
Had a ruptured disc causing sciatica down my leg (nerve pain). For many months it was debilitating and I was luckily able to get an appointment with Dr Fox. I was in a gray area as far as cases go so we did some physical therapy first, then once that didn't work Dr Fox told me I could choose to go with steroid injections which may not work and may have diminishing returns, or do a simple microdiscectomy (relatively non-invasive back surgery). He was very confident I would have positive results after seeing my MRI and I am very glad I had the surgery. The recovery period was fairly long, but I am fully recovered now and I never have problems with my back anymore. Thank you so much Dr Fox, Dulce, everyone at the office. You guys changed my life
Dr Fox gave me my mobility back. I couldn’t be happier with the results of my back surgery. I highly recommend him to anyone needing surgery.
Dr. Fox and his PA Austin were very patient and caring and answered all my questions before surgery. At my follow up with Dr. Fox, he showed me the X-rays of my fusion and explained the procedure and what to expect in the future. Dr. Fox and his staff are all very professional and friendly and I would definitely recommend this practice.
I have spent AGES trying to find a neurosurgeon in network in my insurance. When I called this office I did it with low confidence they would be able to help me. They assured me they were in network and then AFTER my appointment sent me a 400 dollar bill and told me I was not covered. Then, when I came in the tech that came in before him couldn’t pull up my scans and it was obvious Dr Fox had never viewed them before he walked in the door and helped his assistant pull them up. In addition to that Dr. Fox rushed out of the room so fast while I was nervous and trying to ask questions and he was legitimately half way out the door. In addition once I brought up that they falsely said they were in network, the bill went down 100 dollars, which was still 200 over what it would have been of in network.
I am grateful to have found another doctor, but as someone with a very serious condition I have never seen this lack of professionalism when it’s the most needed.
