New Dawn Animal Rescue reviews
12After my application was thoroughly vetted by a New Dawn's staff I asked them to match me up with a dog of certain characteristics that would be appropriate for my home. They chose Molly (Dottie) for us. She is healthy, well adjusted, socialized. Dawn treats all of her rescues as her own. With love, patience and care. And she makes sure that the homes they are placed in do too. If you are not seriously prepared to make a long term commitment of prioritizing the care of a new family member then maybe this isn't the right time and place. Dottie has changed my life. I'm getting a lot of exercise, my blood pressure is down, I'm breathing better and my other 11 year old dog is acting like a puppy. Some might say we rescued Dottie. I say she rescued us.
Would say zero stars if I could. Looking for a forever friend should be a happy experience and the ladies here give the exact opposite experience. I can’t believe the way I was talked to at an animal shelter. Bunch of “Karen’s” working at this establishment. Take your money elsewhere if you want to find a dog to love.
We came here in September of 2021 and adopted the perfect dog for our family. Wilma is so full of energy and we love her so much! Thank you Dawn for allowing us to adopt her!
Was referred by a friend this place. Would like to purchase a small dog. The man that runs this place, was very nice, helpful and courteous.
They were so nice and gave us the time we needed to make sure our sweet boy was perfect for us!
My fiancé and I applied for a a sweet 8 month old poodle mix puppy named Leo, and got denied do to us “being a young couple” and I quote exactly what they told us, the reason for being denied, I believe there should be no discrimination against age, we are 19 and 22 & we have a 5 year old catahoula who is treated like a king in our home. I think it was completely unfair to deny someone of a puppy due to age, we have a house with a huge backyard. Definitely will never try to adopt from here again.
We absolutely love New Dawn animal rescue, they are so kind and really care where the pets go which is really important!
Horrible place denied application explanation was that they didnt think it was a good fit because of liability issues when I asked her to explain what they would be liable for I got the run around as she dodged the question 0/5 would recommend.
I love to go by and see the pups and take them blankets and newspaper. Everyone is very friendly.
I am fortunate to volunteer here. Everyone including the owner are volunteers. We all love the animals and are here for them. Meeting the potential parents is fun and a bit tearful. It’s all good!
I was never given a reason on why my adoption was declined, only was told that they gave it to someone else who made a donation in addition to paying the adoption fee, this was so disappointing to me as it seemed that their animals go to the highest bidder! When I emailed Dawn, she was extremely rude and even said she apologized for my rude behavior, she has got to be kidding. Stay away from this place.
Your new fur friend is pre-loved at New Dawn! The volunteers and owner really do prepare the pet for living in a fur-ever home.
