New Foot Relax reviews
8 This has been my go-to massage place for over 4 years. I’ve taken many out-of-town guests to this spot. I hadn’t been in a few months because I was in the third trimester of my pregnancy, and it was uncomfortable for me to lie down. Today, I braved treating my 1-month, weary postpartum body to a massage and learned they are under new management.
If visual privacy is important to you, you’ll be happy to learn they built wall partitions instead of hanging curtains between the rooms. My massage therapist was good, with seemingly more focus on acupressure than before. It was nice that he didn’t leave the room to dispose of the foot water in the middle of my session. They seem to be running a special combo for $40/one hour massage (instead of $50).
The reason for this lower review is because they wouldn’t honor my loyalty card. Like a kid who’s worked hard for their Halloween candy, after 15 massages, I was very excited to finally earn a free 1-hour massage. However, the woman at the front desk refused to honor my card, made me pay for my massage, and started a new loyalty card—with the same stamp as the old management! She said she didn’t make the rules and that the owner was in China so we couldn’t ask her.
Unfortunately, I probably won’t keep coming back to this place. In the midst of my long, 15-massage tenure here, I moved further north. I had continued to come here due to my loyalty card, but it appears the loyalty has lapsed.
The massage was nice, my only wish is that they would ask how intense you’re looking for. My boyfriend and I got a couples massage for cheap, same day booking which was great! We both were just left a little sore with it being SUPER deep tissue.
Aside from that, the place was clean, they were nice and took care of us quickly!
Got the male masseuse. I could tell he had long nails and rough callouses by the painful scratching. He hasn't read any of the signs around the place saying "please silence your phone" because his phone was dinging and buzzing the entire session. I'm not generally picky but I honestly can't muster up anything positive about my experience. I'm embarrassed I tipped at all and I need another massage to relieve the tension of having had this massage.
Bought a 12 massage package and they refused to redeem it! Ruthless fraudsters gave me the runaround and excuses. Still haven't received a refund for nearly $500 paid in advance. Shady business if there ever was one. Reporting them to the BBB.
Excellent service. It’s rare to find a therapist who can deliver as much deep tissue pressure at the exact location where needed. He also gave a very even and symmetrical application to both sides of the body. The place is very clean and welcoming, and the price is unbeatable. This is a hidden gem in Austin.
I'd never to been to New Foot Relax before but I was in the neighborhood and decided to stop in. I paid for an hour. The massage was great and the therapist addressed the pain points I requested. I will definitely be a customer. Thanks.
Do NOT buy any packages from these SCAMMERS. I made the mistake of buying a 20 massage package and they REFUSE to honor it saying they are 'new' Foot Relax and do not accept this package from 'Foot Relax'. BEWARE of this FRAUD.
The massage person’s fingers smelled like cigarettes. It smelled horrible. Especially since they used their icky fingers to massage my face. Ultimately, the massage was just painful. I’m used to massages being sorta painful only to have it feeling so great after; however, I have just felt so much pain in my neck and upper back since the massage. Also, a minor thing, they went to the bathroom during my massage (which it would have have been nice if they mentioned that they were going to the bathroom) and I didn’t hear them wash their hands. I mention it because I heard them wash their hands the first time but not the second time. I just don’t feel great on my back, and wanted to warn others.
