I am old school (42 years old) though foremost I allow God's word to shape my opinions. 1 Th 5: 19 - Do not quench the Spirit, but this seems to be a common occurrence with churches that seemingly run on a template that is based on another church.

I attended service today @ the Alvin campus where the lead pastor gave announcements, and then a video recording of another pastor (who is a part of the New Hope Church conglomerate at another campus) gave the sermon. The sermon was good; Series sermons being done on 1 Peter entitled "Different"

I believe we take the convenience of technology too far. Every church has different individuals who God is wanting to give a word to which are likely to come from sermons done at the pulpit. Who knows, it could be that the lead pastor @ Alvin prayed, and God told him to play the video of the sermon that was done though I have doubts of that due the pastor of the video recording referencing that all of other campuses within the New Hope Church conglomerate would all be watching the same video today. I believe it shows a weakness in leadership if the lead pastor of all campuses was not allowed to pray on his own time to receive a word from God regarding the congregation he is shepherding - quenching the Spirit.

I believe New Hope is a good church for those who are younger and possibly newer to the faith as maybe all the tech help to draw certain people in, but I believe (due to what God's word says) that if we're not drawing people in with the gospel alone then, people who are being drawn in under the influence of something other than the gospel may possibly become false converts who will be blown away by the wind due to the lack of foundation in coming to Christ for Him and His message. Referencing the parable of the sower, Matthew 13. God bless.

Great church, relatable sermons. Way too much self promotion. I’m grateful and happy for all the church does. However, I go to praise the lord not the church.

Very relatable sermons in an inviting atmosphere. I felt at home and was really surprised how short it seemed. I reluctantly left with growing anticipation for next Sunday.

This is my home! Hearing the word of God straight from the bible is what it's all about! Thank you for such an awesome place to worship!
