New York Bagels and Coffee Shop / NY Deli, Houston TX

I'm from Bergen County, New Jersey where you can get some of the best bagels. I've been searching for decent bagels here forever. Panera were the best I could find.
Years ago I ate at the restaurant, it was good. I took the opportunity to step into the bakery which was closed and saw a one loaf of rye bread that flat and very unattractive. I lost all interest in trying anything from the bakery.
Today I walked in and it was so different! Everything looked beautiful and the bagels were crusty and soft. However the rye is not NY, sorry.

Never ate here before & I ordered today for the first time & got my ordered delivered it was amazing foooood.

This is a great place! Old school deli food. Best bagels in Houston. Staff is awesome. Must visit place.

Just wow! The apple strudel, cherry turnover, all pasteries and the quesadillas are bomb! Definitely recommend.

This is a review of the bagel bakery side. Wide assortment of ole school bagel flavors. Flavored creme cheese available to buy to complement bagel. During the mornings, I just ask, " what just got baked? " Awesome value!

I'm originally from New York City and coming from a new Yorker minus the actual bagel size, these bagels taste just like home! Always fresh warm and delicious and the staff are always warm and inviting! I can't say enough about this place.

I just want to keep coming back to this coffee shop! I like the taste of their coffee and the ambiance because it was so relaxing. It is a good place to study and chill with friends. They also have a great internet connection. I enjoyed spending my time in this wonderful coffee shop. Highly recommended!

We were down the street at the Lexus dealership and ended up at New York Deli and Coffee Shop. I was ecstatic because I love Jewish Deli’s. I’m trying to be healthy so I got a Greek salad; it was good. I really wish I ordered a bagel and breakfast. The bakery is worth smelling

This definitely a take Mum place. The coffee good strong the bagels good. BreAkfast lunch options. The server fast friendly seat yourself or good back to the counter. Ample parking a bit of the Lower east side New York in Westbury.
Stopped in today now featuring espresso drinks hot and cold.

Such a cool place! Love the atmosphere, the diner has a large menu of good food, and the bagels are the best I've ever had. Try their house made cream cheese!

Just relocated back to Houston after being in New York for 3 years. We walked in to order a bagel and were told they couldn't prepare it (toast and spread) and we had to sit in the diner just to order a bagel. This is absolutely not what I experienced in NYC, and size of the bagels are also smaller than in the city.
The diner food is standard, the prices are standard. The reason for the 2-star was the service, it was great.:)

Great New York Coffee Shop/Diner not in NYC. Wonderful portions and fabulous service from Marie who was our server. The home fries crispy were absolutely amazing. Rye toast really delicious and the scrambled eggs were fluffy. Definitely a must place to visit for breakfast if you are in town.

This place is almost a landmark. Best bagels in Houston, with a delicious dinner/cafe next door that serves the top breakfast in the area. It's the kind of place where the neighborhood regulars are known but new people are welcome also. Very friendly with kids as well.

The best bagels in Texas! I've been going to NY bagel since the day they opened. I now have to drive from San Antonio to get them. And it is worth every mile.

Visiting from Canada and the food here is amazing! I really love the bagels. Will come back again.

Great little coffee shop in our neighborhood. Stopped here for breakfast yesterday and the eggs and tomatoes were fresh and just right. We have been getting fresh bagels here for decades and love the variety and fantastic service.

The food is good, sometimes I wonder if some of the staff have been working there so long that they forget they are in the service industry. Great for a quick breakfast and other items.

Awesome neighborhood traditional breakfast and deli lunch spot. And don't forget to grab some fresh bagels next door!

They have the best Matzo ball. Perfect for a light savory breakfast, (for a light lunch and dinner too) It is so tender and delicious!
