North Star Therapy reviews
10The staff at North Star Therapy are very experienced in treating mental health concerns in teens and adults. We refer clients to them very often and have complete trust in their care and attention. Thanks for all your great work
If you’re looking for quality care, look no further. I have observed both Taylor Cockrum’s and Kevin Bock’s work. I would trust either of them to provide care to my friends and family. Taylor is full of joy and one of the smartest therapists I’ve come in contact with. I know Taylor is providing virtual visits right now (as of 8/30/22) and if you’re in a place where your day to day schedule is full or opening up in person is difficult, this might be a good start for you or a loved one. Kevin has a great background in working with kids and mental health, and he is also one of the most dedicated therapists I have ever met. I haven’t gotten to meet any of the other therapists with North Star Therapy, but if their quality of care is anywhere near the level of care these two provide, I’d give it 10 stars.
North Star has a great team of music therapists. I love referring clients to them as I know they will provide top notch care.
Esther and her team are extremely knowledgeable therapists working hard to change the stigma around mental health therapy, especially for teens and young adults. They are very passionate about making a difference in their communities and an impact to the lives they touch with their services!
I’ve had the privilege of watching Craven and Taylor work with a variety of adults with intellectual disabilities, teaching them songs and building up their confidence to perform. They are both skilled professionals who care deeply about their clients. They treat everyone they work with respect. They are wildly creative and flexible, individualizing their approach to match the clients’ ever changing needs. I highly recommend.
I love Taylor at North Star! She is a wonderful music therapist that takes the time to make a memorable experience. Music is powerfully evocative and cathartic in ways that cannot compare to other methods.
Amazing therapists! They truly think outside the box, go the extra mile, and care about the people they serve. Highly recommend!
As Licensed Professional Counselor, I have referred and will continue to refer clients to Esther Craven and North Star Therapy (NST). There are many ways to utilize music therapy including as an adjunct therapy to professional counseling. Esther is compassionate, creative, and personalizes her services to each client. Music therapy at NST reaches a wide group of people, specializing in teens but they also do great work with adults and businesses. Esther and NST are a gem in DFW.
Esther is a great music therapist. She worked with our family on how to use music as an outlet for the troubled mind. She is a patient and caring teacher that our family member instantly accepted. Esther helped us to begin music lessons as well. We'll be forever in debted to her work.
Esther is a very compassionate and understanding person who is very good at what she does and cares very much for the people she works with. I feel very comfortable sharing with her, and I always look forward to the time I spend with her.
