Northern Tool + Equipment, Lubbock TX

Horrible experience at store. Ordered a 1500.00 tool online and had it delivered to the store. Prior to delivery, I saw the tool was in stock in the store and it was $150.00 cheaper due to a sale. I asked the store associate what I could do to either cancel my order and/or get a price adjustment. She rudely replied that unfortunately the online store and the local store are two different entities. They can't do anything to help with the variance in pricing. Then plainly said, "sorry, you should shop in the store prior to buying online". I don't have time to shop around. Last time I looked, the local store had the same company name on the building as what's advertised online. Terrible customer service. I've since slowed all my shopping at Northern Tool. I am very hesitant to give the store any of my money.

I did hear from someone apologizing and notified me to call the store and speak with a specific person to be reimbursed for the monetary difference. But. I think there is a disconnect somewhere with the local store and headquarters. When I called and spoke with Chase, he did apologize, and I was told once again that there is no way for them to price match in that scenario because of specific mechanisms that prevented it. He explained that I should've been told that I could cancel the order and then purchase the order in store to get the sale price. He was very cordial and explained the process but again, I'm in the same boat as when I left the initial review; being told that it's not possible to price match Northern Tool's own pricing, etc. I did not press to obtain the $150 as the original date of the transaction was July of 2023 and he didn't freely offer to refund the difference. It's great that headquarters reads the reviews, but again, it seems as if the policies/procedures need to be better taught.

Went in to buy some stuff and was followed around like i was some sort of thief.i was assisted in finding something i was looking for though.

Well stocked store. Staff was helpful. Found my gloves and a few other things I really "needed" and was gone in 20 minutes.

Great company to deal with, all the worker are always ready to help. Great attitude of the staff.

I just finished talking to my husband Mark Martinez about his amazing experience at the Lubbock Northern Tool. He said that Nick, David, and Stacy really care about people and their sympathy and compassion towards customers are shown in their actions and attitudes. We’ve spent $8000 in generators at Northern Tool and are in the market for 2 more 10,000 Honda generators. We’ve sent multiple friends we work with to this location to buy NorthStar 15000 generators so be on the lookout for them. We’re from Midland TX and it’s tough finding stores that have people that care about serving customers with respectful service here. So we don’t mind driving 2 hours round trip to take our business where it’s appreciated with Stacy and crew. Thank you guys!

RARELY do I give a 5 star review, much less be this happy yo do so.
Had the full intake system off my 3.6, got to the oil housing, surprise the manual says etorx driver and I need etorx socket. Lowes can deliver it Friday with a 50 dollar delivery fee. Found the set I needed on Northern Tools website. Uber couldn't pick me up until after NT closed. Found out NT does doorstep delivery for 20 bucks, placed my order was told the tools would be here the next day by 1pm. At 7pm same day I ordered it my doorbell rang and there's the tools.
COLOR ME IMPRESSED! Will be back just wish you carried Craftsman

Get it together people. Love the store but when your website and sign says opens at 8 am on Saturday and the lady in the store says 9. That’s not cool.

I drove through Lubbock and bought a Stihl packaged weedeater head. Got it home and it didn’t fit. Never opened the package. Took it back and they wouldn’t refund it because I was outside the 60 day return. Regardless of the fact I live 5 hours away and this was my first trip back to the area. Worthless customer service

Selection is fairly limited for tool store. Male employees poorly trained to deal with customers. Female cashier tried to be helpful

Ordering online saves me a lot of time due to staff pulling my orders in a timely manner while the orders are always accurate. Staff are courteous and professional.

Lots of things in here for a good price and I was greeted at the door! No wait in line to check. Thank God I got out of there pretty quick because I would have spent my whole bank account there.
