Northshore Trail reviews
16This trail is very big there are so many off trail places to explore not to mention the beautiful scenery at sunset when standing on top of a hill over looking the lake, priceless.
Mainly bike trail.mud and rocks. But beautiful scenery, hugs the grapevine lake.most parts shaded by the trees. Even for a non adventurous rider, it's great experience.
It's a great trail of you're looking for a xc ride. The east side is more flowy and the west side is pretty technical. Not many jumps or built features to speak of, but a beautiful trail for pedaling and enjoying the scenery.
This trail is popular for biking and therefore less usable for hiking. My dog and I almost got run over multiple times. I walked the trail for about 1.5 miles and never even saw the lake. The trails are well marked but everything was brown and dead. The one little creek we passed was decently pretty so I stopped for some pictures but left quickly after because it smelled terrible and 2 guys were smoking pot on one of the rocks. I don’t foresee myself returning to this trail.
Great place for a little trekking. I would not recommend the trails for hiking they are narrow and lots of Bikes. Looks great for mountain biking. We ended up sticking to the large road trails with our dog and had a great time! Our dog had a blast running around closer to the water as well. A little rocky closer to the water so we put on his booties, but he had a blast.
Besides getting sand everywhere you don't want it to be, this is one of the best hiking and biking trails in DFW
This is an awesome, easy trail you can go really fast on, or practice doing simple obstacles if you're new to the sport. I would not call this intermediate as the trail apps do. It's an easy with a few light obstacles you can easily walk around or over of you're uncomfortable. Awesome trail.
Love the trails, love the view. So much to look at whole walking sorry didn't take pics except one
Great MTB trails, been using them for 20 years and they keep getting better, thanks dorba might want to visit these trails during the week because they get quite crowded on the weekends if the weather is good.
Great trail with lots of trees. Between the loop there are roads that will take you to the lake. More bikes than hikers.
We are visiting from Salt Lake City and staying in Flower Mound. I was searching for hikes and this was so close, we went there. Its really amazing and beautiful. Trails are very good. Seen lots of bikers.
The trails here are well-built, fun, and challenging. The stewards update the open-closed status regularly. Please use the DORBA app or visit DORBA.org to keep track.
My favorite place to hike around central DFW. If you're on foot head into bike traffic so you can see them coming up and step aside.
Great for biking, running, and walking. Great views of lake make it even special, worth your visit!
Very good and well maintained area. There are a lot of bikers, so if you are planning on hiking be prepared to extend your trip by an hour since you have to constantly get out of the way.
Nice and foresty. You'd find more bikers than hikers. Probably not one of the most scenic ones out there
