Northstar Carriage, Dallas TX

The tour itself was excellent! Fantastic lights, and blankets were even provided, kind service. However, we had a lot of trouble finding the place. On the website it describes the proper meeting place in Dallas, but the confirmation email did not communicate that. maps, as it sometimes does, took us to a completely different spot in the city and we had quite the time trying to figure out where to go. If you're planning on going, be sure to check the website before anything else! It's well worth it if you're well prepared.

We took this carriage early in December to see Christmas lights in Highland Park. They ran right on schedule, the driver was very knowledgeable about the area and was very friendly. We had the large wagon and fit our party of 14 comfortably. Can't wait to do this again next year!

POOR COMMUNICATION. DO NOT BOOK HERE! My partner booked it for my birthday. However, on the same day that it was booked, we had to move dates and time which we emailed and called THE SAME DAY IT WAS BOOKED! Their cancelation policy stated “we require 72 hour notice for any cancelation” but because NOONE ANSWERED US we got charged regardless and till this day we have not recieved any notification and will not get our money back.

Reservation was a no show. Had to wait an hour and drive to a different location. The lady driving the carriage said nothing the entire time and seemed more interested in her phone. Would not recommend!

Better off just driving through the neighborhood. I’ve waited 10 months to post the review that you emailed and asked me post a review, so here it is. I’ve written numerous emails and made multiple phone calls to discuss my experience with you before writing this review to no avail. In 2021, we took the carriage ride for Christmas lights. The driver was AMAZING! I asked how to get him for next year and was told to book early. I did. When we got to our time slo, I was then told he was not my driver but our new driver was great and had many stories. I knew we were in trouble when he asked US where to go! Hmmm…shouldn’t you know the places to take us like our driver last year? He was not engaging at ALL! I mentioned that the young lady told us that he had stories. His story consisted of him riding in rodeos. Not exactly what I was thinking. We had no history of the area and honestly, we drove in the same way into the the area of the carriages that he took us.
I’m extremely disappointed in the ride and that I could not get a return email or phone call.
SAVE YOUR MONEY AND JUST DRIVE THROUGH THE NEIGHBORHOOD!

The very best of the best! Loved the hour we spent with Tiffany and Natalie! They made the whole experience worth it all. I will say that we felt comfortable and we had been transported altogether to another place in time! The owner Brian made me feel assured that I would have the Best ride for my girlfriend as I made her wish come true, doing this for the very first time! Truly one of the best experiences of my life with this amazing team! Thank you Northstar for my Make a Wish moment!

It was a great experience and the 1 hour ride is definitely worth it since there is so much to see and experience in the area.

The ride was amazing and it was a first ride. Will definitely do it again. The driver and the horse was definitely connected throughout the entire experience!

Do these people ever answer the phone? I've left 3 messages and sent an email and have gotten no response. Very frustrating!

Great ride! We booked a reservation and they were there and ready at the exact time and place provided. They also take walkups. This was our second time booking with them and both times they were perfect. We plan to book another ride for Christmas!

I reserved a carriage ride for my parents 22nd wedding anniversary. Everybody was so helpful and it turned out so nicely. The carriage was great and the driver was very nice. I am definitely going to do.this again.

I am so happy we decided to do this today. My lady was happy, I was happy. Natalie was our, she was perfect. I'm bad with names but I think Mike was our guy. Awesome man! I will be coming back with my daughters next time!

If I could give this zero stars I would! The owner sent an email back in December that our carriage ride was being cancelled due to inclement weather and that we would be receiving a refund. I have not received a refund. I have called him several times and emailed and still no refund.
