One star goes to the property for it's appearance and the other goes to Amelia (she was nice). We weren't pleased after our tour because:

1. The square footage is less than 900 (Currently we're in 990sqft.so we'll be paying more money for less space - not going to happen!

2. The pet deposit/fee! It's unfair that it is non refundable without consideration that not all tenants are filthy (like my household) and/or mistreat property. I know it's not just this property, but it should only be non-refundable under certain conditions. Sounds to me like apartment complexes are becoming more money hungry. I've heard many reasons why the charge exists. Just come out and say you'll want more money! It's true what they say - Texas is becoming the new California.smh

3. Finally the mandated fees - I can understand that it's nothing to be done by the city of Garland regarding electricity, but for Internet we should be able to use whatever provider we want. Spectrum isn't the best recommendation and it should be up to the tenants if we are wanting to pay for renters insurance, sounds to me like an unsafe area.

We will not proceed with leasing with this property.

I'm only giving one star since it doesn't seem fair to me than in the apartments where I just moved into OAK GIEN APTS.
They want to charge me for my relatives who visit me because they don't even come often, apart from what right do I have as a renter? It bothers me that when you come to ask for information to rent, they don't tell you anything about what they charge you if you don't until you're already renting, they tell you that each visitor has to pay a certain fee!

My experience with this group was very bad, they were unprofessional, rude, and racism was displayed by property manger. All Hispanic staff. Other races beware. They are good at covering it up or in a very subtle way.
I would not lease here. These people will lie to you, cheat you and their management company owners will not respond to you unless you have a letter from a Law Office.
Val Cap Group is the name of management group. I will be filing a Fair Housing case today with Dallas HUD, and a civil law suit against company. I look forward to my day in court with them. They are not above the law.

Amazing staff such a well-kept and beautiful community that they don’t even have units available i will definitely be renewing my lease im so extremely grateful to have the opportunity to call oak Glen home

I really want to give a big thanks to the young lady that works at the office by the name Jesenia ever since day 1 she has been very pleasant and supportive. Her customer service skills are A+ and has a very good personality the way she treats people.
Very professional.quick responses from Jesenia at all times.

Excellent customer service from the wonderful staff, they welcomed me with a very pleasant smile, Yesenia took care of me from the beginning and I loved her kindness and courtesy, very patient and highly trained in what she does. Maria the manager is also very kind and empathetic, they made me feel at home. Thank you ladies, God bless you all!

The property in the staff at Oak Glen Apartments is not only top-notch very clean and organized everything is upgraded landscaping is absolutely beautiful and the staff goes above and beyond to make you feel at home felt like I’ve been here for years Yesina Ortiz, Jenna, Maria Malagon Are Absolutely helpful and organized in every way they were sure to have everything in order for me to sign in to get organized before my move-in date I am from out of state so everything was very confusing and they made it feels so easy and welcoming If I could give them all a raise I would thank you so much for this wonderful experience.

Office is very clean and organized the maintenance team is the best I’ve experienced Yesenia helped me through my application process and she did such a wonderful job!

I don't recommend this apartments people from the office are so rude especially? The manager Maria? I don't know why let people like her working like a manager position she's don't have any respect to the residents I had a really bad experience with her I think I'm not the only has problems with her she's so rude and it's a lot vandalism on cars and drug activities they never do nothing when we call to report something suspicious she always gets mad and be rude she always said she can't do nothing about it I really (DON'T RECOMMEND THIS APARTMENTS)

I visited this apartment community on my search for a new home for my family. Maria, the Property Manager gave me a warm welcome and gave me a tour of the community. This is the first apartment homes out of 4 that I have visited and that I can actually consider moving my family into

Rude in the office, don’t communicate with guests about parking, I’ve been towed 3 times and I live there. They went from using parking stickers, then no stickers to registration then back to stickers, and between me and my wife we’ve been towed at least 6 or 7 times. $300 each time. You put in a work order and nothing. That’s why we’re finally moving

We have been here 5 months our ac always goes out so we seem to always get sick have been to the pool twice and the security tends to talk to minors with profanity which office manager says it is fine so i call the office and got a citation of $850 worse place to live. He we are another night with no air

This apartment complex have the worst maintenance and managers … you go to the office and the two lady’s that are there they are not helpful with there residents we had our car towed due to them not sending the information on time and in top of that we had to pay our towing fee because they did not want to be responsible we had another resident that stayed there the same thing happen to them and to top it off my husband and myself lost a whole day of work and we try to locate the corporation and they had move and called the number several times and never answered this is the worst experience I will never tell someone to leave in this place.
