What a good experience I had today with Daniel and his father. At Oak Hill automotive I bought my 76 beetle and to get looked at for repairs, these guys are knowledgeable about everything Volkswagen beetles. Just wanted to give a shout out thank you guys for everything. Appreciate the great suggestions about country Taverns barbecue, as Myron Mixon would say the barbecue was spot on.

Very well stocked VW parts house. The owner also runs the counter. Very pleasant, and very accommodating. The prices are really no better or worse than most VW parts outlet. That said, in the internet world we live in, it is often we forget how much better the face to face contact is. For instance; I walked out, got into my truck to leave, then remembered I forgot brake lines. I walked back in the store, obtained the part, then left for home. Try that online. You would have to place another order, another shipping charge, etc. Great place to do business.

Car: 2006 VW Jetta 2.5
Problem: Car would get stuck in gear and not shift but would rev up and then jerk into gear.
Oak Hill repaired this for me right before I headed out on a cross country move. The repair has held up for a year now after driving cross country (TX->WA and WA -> TX) twice and I no longer experience issues with it. Thank y’all for your help!
