Ohana Japanese Steakhouse reviews
18The sushi rice was still raw, not fully cooked, and very tough. The stir fried was extremely salty. We ordered teriyaki beef, but really could not taste any teriyaki sauce
I think we hit an off night, our server didn't seem like he was properly trained but he was at least trying. Food was amazing! And the rest of the wait staff stepped up and really helped!
Go here. Food is great, everything is spotless, super nice staff, and super chill vibe. By far the best hibachi in town.
I have eaten at lots of Japanese restaurants and this one has the best service out of them all. Very good food and the soup is probably the 2nd best I've tried. Expensive place though. Sakura Noodle Bar has service that's just as good too, so I recommend them as well.
Very good taste in Japanese cuisine. Good ambiance as well. They are improving even in my latest visit.
Lunch time seems to be a really good time if you want go here. We have been going here during lunch hours and everything seems pretty good, not too many people and the food comes out fast. Haven't tried the in-table hibachi grill but the menu stuffs are good if you just want to sit at the booth/table. The sushi are decent price, I would recommend the Drunken Monkey roll. That one is good and a mouthful! And if you want a thick piece of fish (maybe you really like raw salmon or something), go for the sashimi, it is a much thicker piece if you want to just go for pure taste. If you want to go for the menu hibachi, be aware that the portion can be a little small. Overall a really good place and the staffs are friendly and seems like they tried their best!
7/30/30 - birthday meal. Decent size crowd, had a short wait for hibachi grill table. Great cook with good personality. Food was cooked perfectly. They have added Tilapia to the fish option with salmon. No salad or shrimp appetizers during lunch and the portions are smaller than dinner. We are not sushi fans, but the sushi our table mates did look really good! We will definately be returning in the future!
12/24/2022 - Christmas Day meal with the family. Surprisingly, the restaurant was not very busy and we arrived about 12: 45 pm.
The Good: We were able to sit at one of the grills and had a great waiter and cook! Everything was cooked to order and the soup was fantastic. The Bad: too much ginger in the salad dressing which is normally my favorite - didn't finish it.
We came for lunch on Sunday for Fathers Day. Arrived about 1: 30 pm to avoid some of the crowd. Be aware that at lunch, salad with ginger dressing and the shrimp appetizer DO NOT come with the meal! This location also does not have catfish, but they do have salmon. Food was ok, the cook was not as personable as some of the ones we have had. He overcooked the steak, was supposed to be medium, came out more well done and chewy and my husband said the salmon was over cooked and dry. We normally go to the location on 82nd and slide, but this one is closer to our home. We love O'hana and will be back, but hope we get a different cook.
Top notch food and service. This is one of our go-to places for celebrations. Tge food is always very tasty, and the hibachi show is always great. We will be returning here again and again. Hope to see you there.
AMAZING SERVICE AND FOOD.
I've been to many hibachi style restaurants, and this one has to be my 2nd favorite. It was sad to see that they only had one chef available to work their 2 hibachi that they had at 5 o'clock on a Thursday, but him, the extremely nice host, and the very sweet, busy waitress all handled it without issue. The food was very tasty and fresh, along with a great sweet tea. We also got an appetizer of a fried sushi roll called 'Las Vegas'. Flavor was out of this world amazing. Hats off to the staff that made our dinner amazingly special for us. Yall are amazing!
I highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a great meal. The four of us will return the next trip to the LBK.
Poor experience, food wasn't great. Wouldn't recommend, fairly pricey for low quality. Also sushi was warm
Food was good, and the waitress was awesome. The place was hot and not sure if the ac works. The bathroom were not clean at all and that's because we got there at 11am when they opened. I dont think I'll return to this restaurant.
Fried rice was delicious. Ramen noodles where second to none. I will definitely be back to try the sushi soon didn't have time today.
The sushi here is always so fresh and delicious. My girlfriend and i can put down some rolls. They are also very reasonably priced. The Gyoza is to die for, cooked to perfection. The staff is super friendly over all a very nice place to go to.
This place is amazing! Excellent service and food! Thank you so much to our waitress Jasmine who made us feel so welcomed!
Restaurant moved from Frankord ST, always great tasting Sushi. Only disappointment was there is only two grills, they are working to add more waiting on parts. They are in process of adding 4 additional grillsand can accommodate larger groups will be great.
The food was great and the service was great. Friendly staff and good atmosphere. The only issue I had was the cleanliness. The table had leftover residue, the boosters were dirty, the forks had rice stuck in them and the glasses were muggy. The waitress mentioned the water was hard and I get that, but it still bothered me.
Not bad, but not nearly as good as the other location on 82nd. Their menu is plain and boring compared to that of the other location and the interior isn’t nearly as clean or nice. I figured since they have the same name they’d share the same menu but I guess not
It's almost all there. The sushi I had contained more avocado than I like (I don't order here often so i don't know the menu well). The teriyaki chicken came with a sizeable amount of rice, but I wish the veggies were the large portion for health sake. Overall a great time and calm atmosphere for a fine date.
