Ol' RailRoad Cafe reviews
21Upscale food in Rosenberg! Wow! My wife & I were pleasantly surprised. Onion Soup and Crab cakes for appetizers. Great take on Chicken Pot Pie. My wife said we will be back.
Great little spot in historic downtown Rosenberg. Food is always great! Service is spot on. Staff is extremely nice. Desserts are yummy too!
The food and service are great. Ana was our server. She was very attentive and friendly. Thank you
Outstanding customer service, with great food at a great price. It was so good in fact, I ended up eating there two days in a row.
Food was excellent. Had the hobo burger and patty melt along with a side salad and fruit. Ranch was a bit watery but the food was great and service was quick and on point. Cold beer too.
What can I say my goodness what a cool little spot in the middle of nowhere excellent service great cocktails great mamosas Very good breakfast upscale the biscuits and graveyard really good I can't say enough about this cute little place that strongly recommend taking the time maybe on a Saturday taken to drive out in the country and have it some breakfast or dinner this place is good service is unexpected for the area I would give it 5 star
There are no really good gluten-free options. They don't offer a full menu all day. Ate some decent mashed potatoes.
It’s not often you find a restaurant with home cooked meals that are 10/10. Exceptional customer service, food & atmosphere. We had brunch with mimosas.
The gentleman and lady that are non Hispanic have a horrible attitude, tell you what they won't do, and just flat out are disrespectful with their extreme lack of customer service. I also noticed twice that their way of communication with customers that don't look like them get treated with this rude tone of customer service. The lady speaks with attitude and chooses to tell you different from what the customer wants. The food is great due to the cooks but the greeters of this location are extremely rude and unprofessional. There is a sense of special preference that reflects their quality of service based on who these two individuals believe are deserving of their respect. These two individuals should not forget that the make up of their staff also supports this business and their customers are diverse and shouldn't be treated with lack of customer service. The lady even took to the extent of having someone that looks like our table to service us due to her either refusal to service us.
Was no very good at all. The burgers are good but my husband got the pot roast and it was all fat. I mean all fat. He is a chef and normally does not send food back but he did. They gave him a whole new one and did take it off the check. But I got the meatloaf and it had no flavor at all. My girls got the mac and cheese bites and again no flavor at all. Its a cute place and the staff is nice but I don't think we will be going back.
No one is obligated to TIP. Hope next time it's not me your tapping on the shoulder once I leave the door and accused of FALSE INFORMATION.
A really wonderful place for an American Lunch in the old town of Rosenberg. A good food, polite peoples inside and a special plates…Absolutely YES.
Tried this place out because it was #1 burger on some list. #1 is definitely correct this place was great. Amazing food and cheap too. Devin did an awesome job.
Very good place to eat. Them food was very good and the prices were very reasonable. The staff were very friendly and helpfull. We had brunch there and the portions served were a lot. Very good selection of food and a food atmosphere
I had the Bonfire burger with pepper jack, bacon, grilled onions, grilled jalapeños, tomato, and Bonfire sauce. The burger was perfectly cooked and the toppings were excellent. The bun was toasted, both inside and out, i think. The whole thing was flavorful and texturally interesting. Also, the fries hit my weak spot like a hammer. The service was attentive but not overbearing. Just a perfect lunch on a hot Burger Friday.
Amazing food! However the dessert left a lot to be desired. The berry cobbler was bland and no flavor and the apple pie had hard pieces of apple. We'll definitely be back but go somewhere else for a sweet option
Great daily lunch specials, fish and chips are great and their burgers are juciy and delicious! Service is always fast and polite!
Amazing and the staff was very friendly! Was in a historic part of the city, near an (could be running still?) ole train station. Yes, it's air conditioned as well. + Full bar, with knowledgeable staff, w/o price gouging in these crazy times. Definitely a recommendation, hat tip to the chef.
Went there after church
All our family decided to try it out and we are all looking forward to the meal.
I ordered the shrimp and grits, my husband chicken and waffles (we were splitting each meal) my grits were watery, I am talking Literally Water standing! NO flavor at all
Shrimp looked almost clear like barley cooked, no cheese no butter it was the worst Shrimp and grits I ever ate! I took 1 bite I was done. My husbands chicken and waffles well the chicken was a thin chicken pattie that was Dry and no flavor then the waffle was COLD.
Butter wouldn't even melt.
NOT IMPRESSED
Especially for $40
I won't be back.
VERY DISAPPOINTED
Ambiance was great but our meals were so so & mid-high priced. Shrimp & grits were the biggest let down. NO flavor, plain white, runny grits with shrimp & some good sausage thrown in. I would like to return for a burger or sandwich, they looked promising, wife says no way!
