Old Brickyard Golf Club reviews
13 Had the opportunity to play the course today. Not sure what some of the other reviews have seen, fairways lush and the greens were running true and somewhat fast. From my point of view and pics.the course was in very good condition. Has spots with challenging wide open fairways to blind shots to tee shots that force you to Plat a draw over water as the perfect shot.
Our only disappointment was the grill is not open on Sundays. The only other regret, they should have sand on the range so divots can be filled. Otherwise. I thought it was a neat course and will go back.
We had a great time playing at this course. Read some reviews about the greens being in rough shape and it couldn’t be further from the truth. The course was well kept and the greens were spot on. I’il definitely be coming back!
Ok, I’ve been hard on this place in the past,
But today I’m impressed. August this summer?
Fantastic shape
The greens are very good
They have worked very hard and it has paid off.
Yes I recommend it now
Full course is open. Fun track. Greens are in good shape and rolled well today. Will definitely be coming back with my normal group.
Worst course I’ve ever played. The course had only 9 holes open and even those were in terrible shape. The staff did not tell us that half the holes were closed, so it was highly confusing. Then, when we requested a refund of our $40 fees, the gentleman was incredibly rude. I will never return, and would suggest you don’t either!
DISCLAIMER: Course CURRENTLY has 9 holes closed for maintenence until July 2023 - they will not tell you when you book.
Course conditions: 2/5 - greens are nice, most do not have any patches. Course design is solid but could use some work, lots of areas under repair and mud scattered. Not sure id play the course again unless it was cheaper. Would not recommend coming out until the greens are repaired
Rock hard tee boxes, fairways and around the greens. Most of the greens are in terrible shape. $53.00 green fees way overpriced.
I liked this course in the winter, but in the summer they have totally lost the greens. Makes it difficult to keep a true score.
Its a nice 18 hole course with a driving range. I have played better, but for being as old as this one and never crowded its a decent course.
Regional Golf tournament was a complete disaster. The greens and tee boxes are terrible. The guy in charge has no business running a golf course or tournament.
Very poorly maintained course.
We have hayfields and pastures in better condition than this
"Cow Pasture Pool" course.
What a waste of time and money to play here!
Challenging course - greens are ok, muddy on 2-3 of them. Overall a good experience - paid $45 on Saturday Morning - easy to get tee times
Recently played this course with 7 of my friends, usually a group of 16. We’ve all been playing this course since we were 18 years old. So over the last 20 years we have considered this as one of our “home courses”
Recently there seems to be a new manger working in the front, I believe Alvin is his name. He is not accommodating, overly confrontational, cusses us non-stop, gets in our faces and continues to cuss, and then wants to fight.
Had the owner not kept him from following some of guys into the parking lot as we left, he would have actually instigated a fight.
The guy sells us beers and then accuses us bringing in outside beers.
He cussed us up and down on the course and in the club house.
Will say this, the man isn’t at all scared to get in your face and or threaten you verbally.
We will not come back to this course until this guy is gone and we are apologized to.
