If you're seeking a psychiatrist that is kind, actually cares about their patients, and doesn't view the psychiatry/mental health profession as a "business. " DO NOT GO HERE & FIND SOMEONE ELSE! After seeing Oliver Bernhardt for a few months (a few months too long), I finally made the decision to establish care elsewhere after he told me I owed over $200 for missing an appointment when I was sick. (I had called and cancelled my appointment as soon as I fell ill, well over 24 hours before my schedule appointment time, as was his cancellation policy, or so I thought.) He then proceeded to inform he that he recently changed his cancellation policy to a 48-hour notice (I've been in psychiatric care for years, and this is the most absurd cancellation policy I've dealt with). I asked him when this change occurred, and where the notice to the patients was. He said he had changed it recently, but there was no notice. His response? "It's a business. " Oliver Bernhardt is only in this field for money, and it shows. So beyond discouraging that so many medical "professionals" in the mental health field truly don't care for their patients, just what comes out of their pockets.

After trying a few meds, he asked me "I'm not even sure you want to get better at this point which would explain why the meds aren't working". He's cold and arrogant. Spend your money anywhere but here.

Oliver Bernhardt Is amazing. He helped me figure out I was misdiagnosed before seeing him. I feel super comfortable talking to him. He explains the science and why some meds work or don’t work depending on your diagnosis. He allows you to have an opinion on how you get care. Love this place!
