What a wonderful place! To be able to pick your own fruit is a delight. Bringing the children is a life lesson. Gratitude to the owners for making this. A true labor of love.
I used to pick Blackberrys in our yard when I was growing up and my grandmother would make jam with me.
I haven't picked berries since, until yesterday. What an absolutely amazing find Omi's farm is!
I took my adult daughter with me and we picked 19 pounds of berries! The fruit is amazing and best of all they do not use any pesticides, fertilizer etc.
If you get a chance to visit I highly recommend it.
***TIPS***
Be sure to check their Facebook page to be sure they're going to be open, they're only open certain days as the berries ripen.
Be aware there are no restroom facilities to use, so be prepared for that.
A new truck stop with a WhatABurger has opened across the highway from the farm so that is convenient for restrooms, food etc.
Don't trust maps directions! If you look at the satellite view it does accurately lead to the small dirt road across the road from the truck stop, however the directions try to tell you to go elsewhere, don't listen to it! The farm is directly off of Hwy 21 across from the truck stop, you'll see a cell tower on the left as a landmark. They do have a sign out front as well.
Great blackberries sold by 2 wonderful owners who welcomed our daughter and her 4 children for a lovely experience.
