On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina - Texarkana reviews
17We were a group of 7. Waited like 20 minutes, for a Hostess to get on the wait list. Was told it would be about 30 minutes. After being there an hour, we got a table. Ordered our food and Drinks. Food was good. Our Server was so sweet. Only complaint was the 2 girls Hosting. They didn't communicate with each other. Each one was telling us something different. There were lots of people just standing around, looking/waiting on a Hostess to get on waiting list. They kept disappearing
Ordered a to fo Chicken Border bowl. Asked for no corn. Got home to eat and corn was in my food. Please double check that orders are correct before bagging them
I got the chicken enchiladas, chicken was dry, taste like it came out of a can and the sour cream sauce didn't taste good to me. Service was GREAT! And they didn't make me pay for the food.
Wait Service was fabulous with Megan
Best of the Best. Friendly, professional and efficient in what she does.
This is my first time and when I'm in the area again I WILL DIFFERENTLY BE BACK.
Food and service was amazing. After a long drive this was definitely the best stop we made.
I ordered off the kids' menu for under $9. I ordered sour cream for the nachos and queso/ white cheese. I did not know they charged almost $8 for cheese dip (all I wanted was a small amount). Nor did I know they would charge me $1.20 for sour cream. My total was over $18.00.for a kids' meal! Geezers, I will not go back. There are too many other places to go for better food and a little cheaper. Learn my lesson! JS
We were early and beat the crowd. Our meal minder was friendly, informative and attentive. We were approached by the meal minder promptly if our glass of tea was in need of a freshening or anything at all. What we ordered were the brand new items on the menu and they were everything we were expecting. Just delicious
Great margaritas, staff friendly. Happy hours a lot cheaper. Ask for happy hour appetizer menu. Catina nachos huge serving for $5.00 enough for two
Dog friendly when patio is open. We sat on the patio, 2 servers outside and one was great, her people got there food quickly, our server was not putting orders in correctly, she took three orders and put them at the same time but put in last seated first and they got their food way before we did, very frustrating waiting 45 minutes for our food and the people next to us were here 10 minutes before us and got their food 10 minutes after someone who just arrived. I feel there needs to be training in this area. Don’t put in all your orders at once. And ask for help if you feel over whelmed for some reason. It would help if the hostess/manager brought initial drinks on busy days. Food was excellent, good job cooks!
I’ve posted about On The Border in Greenwood Indiana and them offering only a blah salsa. This store has a definitely spicy salsa that we got without asking. I like this one. Hey Greenwood… wake up!
Food was great and the dessert was even better. The beer was warm but overall a great place!
I called in my simple order for stacked nachos. They were ready even before I arrived. And turned out to be excellent, as usual.and at a good price. We like to embellish with a quick trip to a grocery store for additions such as Yucotan guacamole, Pico de guyo, shredded cheeses, sour cream, Wolf brand Chile and anything your palate desires to upgrade an already great dish to create a Super dish. Two orders will yield family portions for three meals that way. Just cover with moist paper towels and microwave at power 7 to preserve the freshness of the restaurant. We always enjoy this.
Super excited that they have the ultimate fajitas back on the menu! Food was delicious, as always!
Everything was great, but we had to wait 20 minutes for our waiter so eventually we got our food and the belly growling stopped.
Server was nice, she had a large area to cover. Tables are too close together. The food was not very good and kinda pricey for what it was. I ended up throwing part of it out. Chips and salsa was good.
I didn't like being seated near the bar but other than that, we had a wonderful waitress. She never acted as if she didn't have time for us when we were asking questions, even though we know she was super busy. She was so good.
The food had no taste we been there several times I had family come from up north told then they love it and it was horrible no flavor we had steak fajitas they don't keep the shell in a warming container anymore no seasoning on the food was sooo disappointed talk to waitress about it all they said was must not have enough chips in wood burner that wasn't it noo flavor
