Opie's Barbecue reviews
17Food was amazing, simply said. Nice place, friendly staff, and a musician at lunch time on Saturday was a nice touch. I can't ignore the fact it is pricey, such as side orders that are more than three dollars per serving seems unrealistic. But very tasty! My group of ten enjoyed it very much.
Delicious! Excellent service, BBQ was awesome, beans great and their Kraisin Almond Slaw is superb!
This was my 2nd time getting takeout from Opies and the food was fantastic both times. We called ahead and this time we were missing that awesome sauce that really completes the goodness. A little disappointed since I love how good it is with the sauce, and also we were missing some of the sides we ordered. I can’t complain too much though it was still very good overall.
Really good brisket and ribs. Tater tot casserole was a new thing for me, but the potatoes onions and cheese, heck yeah!
VERY GOOD BBQ! Had 1lb brisket, 1 rack ribs, small side and drink for $100. A bit pricey but a VERY GOOD splurge on BBQ.
Stopped in on our way around the lake.
We had the brisket, baby back ribs and tator tot casserole. Everything was very good. Definitely worth the stop!
Opie's is my favorite barbecue in Texas. Coopers in Llano is a close second but they both have some of the most amazing baked beans you could imagine. This is really what makes them both stand out.the barbecue has never failed and you just want to make sure and get there before 2: 30 because they only make one batch a day.
The only negative here is they're not open.
Moist brisket is my favorite but everything on the menu is worth the drive!
Awesome food and environment is what you would expect of a barbecue place in Texas, authentic.
The price is high, but the unpleasant taste of gasoline is the worst I have ever had.can you improve this?
Thank you!
Your BBQ is very tasty but it tastes like pure gasoline, be careful with that since it caused me a bad stomach that I almost went to the hospital
I drive from Austin to get this quality of bbq. I've yet to find a bad item on the menu
The reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 stars does not reflect on staff or food, it's just they run out of food quickly and I'm the spur if the moment guy when I wanna eat right then. But it would be nice to be able to plan like let's go to copies we'd at 2 and chow down, but not knowing what food they will have. The food is wonderful and The staff top notch, I would lunch with all of them. Great place I recommend.
Enjoyed a small, sliced turkey sandwich with a cold sweet tea and their complimentary pinto and butter beans. The food was terrific.
There was a good crowd at Noon on Sunday afternoon.
Where do I begin? Meat.amazing, side dishes.amazing, Endless beans.amazing.staff is super friendly and they are fast. I have never eaten here and been disappointed. 10 out of 10 would recommend.
Had brisket, chicken, sausage, crasin Cole slaw, blackberry cobbler. Excellent stuff.
Wanted ribs, but the guy in front of me got the last rack. Asked the kid at the pit if there was more. His response was yes, in the back, but he wouldn't get them.
Would have given the place 5 if the customer service attitude had been better.
Third time here and definitely will not be the last. Brisket is so good and tender with the perfect bark. Jalapeno sausage is legit and cooked right with a nice bite to it, instead of being too crumbly. Apple cobbler with the ice cream on top took the meal to another level. We drove from N Austin with the intent of stopping here on our day trip.
This is a true Texas BBQ joint. Any time I am out that way I make a point to stop by and eat a brisket sandwich. It is the best. Franklin's and Black's BBQ wish theirs was this good. Added bonus. It relatively well priced compared to other BBQ joints.
The complementary beans are awesome and the sauce is perfect.
