Origin Hair Braiding, Converse TX

First off, I would like to say that everyone in the salon was friendly and courteous. And they were able to squeeze me in last minute for a next-day appointment. But I scheduled an appointment for medium knotless and appears I received medium box braids (see pic). I even provided pics prior to my appointment for reference.

I showed up on time, but they didn’t start on my hair until approx 30 minutes after my appointment time. And I say ‘they’ because at one point, there were 3 ladies braiding my hair, which was awesome to me and my braids only ended up taking about 4 hours total.

So overall, the experience was ok, but I wish they had done what I asked for. Because of that, I only gave them 2 stars and I will not be going back.

Can show them any picture and it's exactly how shown. They'll even give you feedback and advice on hair texture and products. They want to see your hair look good and healthy.

Love this place! Shaved the side of my head a while ago and the growing out phase is KILLING ME. Made an appt to have that side of my hair braided and I LOVE it! Not only was she super nice, but she took the time to look over the pictures I’d sent as reference and confirmed with me how long I wanted my braids, the style, direction, length, etc.she really knows what she’s doing and you can tell she really cares about her customers. I am obsessed with my new hairstyle and 100% recommend this place!

Not only is the atmosphere friendly and welcoming but the staff and owner of this establishment do their best to provide top-tier service.

Easy to book appointments and quick to accommodate. Staff is nice and prices are reasonable.

Very helpful skilled staff. Wife needed viking braids for a party, and they absolutely nailed it. Will be back.

Didn't go here but I called to ask for hair cut bc I didn't do my research and the most polite woman answered and let me know the services I needed they don't do. So because she didn't talk down to me or shame me 5 stars! Maybe one day if I ever get my hair braided for the first time I might try here

The ladies did such a great job on my braids! They were all so welcoming and worked extremely quickly. Definitely will be returning in the future!

I was scheduled for a same day appointment. I drove over 40mins & it was well worth it! The customer service is amazing! All the ladies were so warm & welcoming! Shop is exceptionally clean! And Ida braided my hair beautifully! Found my new braid shop!
