Oro Stone Oak, San Antonio TX

This is a lovely place to live, my only issues are having to decorate my balcony area according their strict guidelines on what we cannot have, such as a decorative privacy fence to cover the railings and no additional storage space in the units. It’s honestly so beautiful with quick maintenance that it’s worth it. Really nice place to call home!

This review is for maintenance. Maintenance crews have always been respectful and courteous. Victor was the most recent tech to assist with some issues I had and he was thorough on following up on any other issues.

I toured the property not too long ago and as I walked into the door I knew immediately that this is the place I want to be. I was greeted by Jessica who turned out to be the manager. She was so nice, answered all of my questions, very knowledgeable, and very welcoming. The whole staff were very sweet as well. After my tour I decided this is definitely the place I want to live.

Toured this property and one thing that stood out were the grounds were kept clean and also the staff was extremely professional and knowledgeable. So important for my next home!

Editing my review to add in all the bad experiences I've had:

Day 1: Haven't even slept at the apartment yet, got towed as I was moving my stuff in.

4 months into living here and 12+ cars have had their windows smashed in one night, including mine:)

Management told my neighbor that they don't have any cameras because "in case of an assault, we don't want to be involved. " That's just gross.

If you listen to any advice in your life. Listen to this. DO NOT RENT here. Visitors have to pay for parking. Tow company will wait to tow visitor's cars.

Never would stay here, they’ll tow your car after 1 hour of parking outside YOUR garage YOU pay for. Management is unbelievably unavailable and useless. Not to mention they’ll switch it up every few months, play around w extra fees suddenly added to bills, and don’t even bother to take part in the community. Trash always scattered and left everywhere, pools closed half the time, loud ppl, car break ins. Save yourself from chaos but I would not recommend staying here!

I don’t review much but this I have to…. I’ve had my car stolen here as a resident, I’ve had property stolen from my garage and when I got a new vehicle and the car got towed, management lied to me and said I would be able to get out my car with no fee.

After getting stranded at the tow lot because they wouldn’t release it noting no one contacted them, I called back, and the manager stated “she never said my above statement”. After my trying to rebuttal she kept interrupting me which I raised my voice telling her to let me speak, which she then hung up! Don’t move here! I’m trying to leave ASAP!

Staff is very professional and are concerned with the well being of tenants. The apartment atmosphere is welcoming and awesome to to live in.

Love living here! The property is well maintained and customer service has been great; they've been polite and quick respond or address any issues that come across. Parking seems to be limited from time to time during the weekends.

We lived here for 1 year and didn’t have the best experience with management. Multiples tenants who lived there longer than us said management has changed many times. For being located in the nice area of town, these apartments did not match up. It would be nice if they had a dog park for the people who live in the upper hills. The pool water tends to be dirty in the summer and constantly closed for “maintenance”. There was one time I went to the pool and decided to leave because of how cloudy the water looked. I did not feel comfortable swimming and made a complaint to management. I know a couple of other tenants who have the same complaints yet nothing seems to change. The first time I moved in, my car was towed and I had to pay almost a $300 fine. I explained to the office my situation and basically said it’s not their problem because it’s been towed already. Also, charging for visitors? ! That is ridiculous. I have NEVER heard of such thing. Out of all apartments I’ve lived in this is the first one to charge parking for visitors. I’m sorry, but that needs to change. Our previous apartments (Berkshire Creekside) in NB were amazing! Unfortunately we had to move cities but their pool was ALWAYS clean. I’d leave to work early and see people already cleaning the pool. Do not move here and be fooled by the location! There’s nothing luxurious about Oro Stone Oak apartments. They suck.

We have lived here since August and have been quite impressed by Oro Stone Oak's property and ESPECIALLY the management. The management team (particularly Jess - property manager) has truly gone above and beyond to make our experience a good one. Shortly after we moved into our home, there was a flood affecting our unit and the two directly above us due to a mistake made by a contractor installing internet. Despite this not entirely being Oro's fault, they have taken measures to ensure we were made whole from the unfortunate event. They have done everything they can to make up for what happened, and even gone out of their way to help our communications with the contractor regarding personal property damage. I have been thoroughly impressed by how Jess and the management team have handled everything with empathy and professionalism.

Lastly, our move-in went very smoothly, assisted by Ilse and maintenance team. Our unit was in awesome shape, too. In our experience, maintenance has been friendly, responsive and timely with requests. We are very thankful to Oro Stone Oak and especially Jess for everything. Highly recommend living here for the beautiful views, upgraded/spacious units, and wonderful management team!

My family and I moved to Oro Stone this summer and we love the community and property. Stone Oak is by far a beautiful place to live, but also living at Oro Stone, we enjoy the peaceful atmosphere that comes along with the property. I have personally communicated with management and they made us feel welcomed while also taking care of our apartment concerns. I would recommend Oro stone for sure!

Cool spot. Everything looks nice and works great.

Parking is a problem. No assigned parking unless you pay 100$ for a garage. What parking you do get is always full past normal capacity. I got home late after night shift and drove around for 15 minutes looking for a spot. There were none within a 10 minute walk from my apartment building. If you park illegally you will be towed. But this place is nice. Parking is not.in 2023 this location has new management. Dont live here. Its worse than before. Parking is bad. All management does is spam your email with recruitment letters every single day. Trash is a major issue at this place too.also expect the people who run this place to enter your apartment at least 4x during the year minimum.

Great property. The office staff were really friendly and welcoming. I do want to shout out Leah specifically for taking the time to give me information and answer any questions I had. Jessica the property manager also took the time out of her day to greet me with a smile and even made some small talk while Leah was gathering some more info for me which definitely stood out to me from all of the other apartments I’ve toured before. 10/10 for sure.

Optics are everything in this place. If you are looking at renting here, please take time to read reviews and understand the common complaints of this complex. Here are a summary of my complaints:

1. Management changes every 12-18 months
2. Pool and common areas are a mess and frequented by people who don’t live here
3. Maintenance requests are never taken seriously. They will not fix issues that are marked upon move in and will try to charge you for damages when moving out. This is a glaring issue facing many people moving out in the last 6 months - tenants are getting charged with hundreds or thousands of dollars in repairs for normal wear and tear.
4. Management is unprofessional
5. Valet trash will make a mess in your hallway. If they break a bag from one of your neighbors, they will drag it until they get to the truck parked outside your building. This will leave residue and debris everywhere.
6. Odor transfers through the units very easily. Neighbors like to smoke weed and if that’s not your thing, you may want to reconsider living here.
7. Management will not do anything to help with noise or smell. Don’t even waste time trying.

If you’ve read this far, you’re doing due diligence when looking at this property. You’re doing the right thing. Be cautious and hope you find somewhere you can call home.

DONT MOVE HERE! From the first moment I moved into this place I was going to have problems. My AC has not been working for 2 days the office was closed for them 2 days my AC wasn’t working I called emergency maintenance multiple time no response! It’s not worth it at all
