Absolutely appalling lack of communication. Took my son in for an issue with his foot and saw Dr. Pedro who did a quick inspection and ordered an MRI. ARA never reached out to schedule (counter to what we were told at the Dr.office). Once the MRI was completed ARA told us they’d send the results back to the doctor and the office would contact us. The doctor never did. I called several times and had to go through the “new appointment request” process to speak to an actual person.

Despite leaving several messages I was never contacted about the MRI results. I had to contact ARA myself and retrieve them.

I’d strongly recommend going *anywhere* else.

ORTHOPAEDIC SPECIALISTS OF AUSTIN

I was referred to this group of Ortho specialists of Austin by Dr. Paul Keinath, one of the best primary care physicians in Austin.
My first visit to this Ortho Group was July 25th, 2023. My attending Ortho Specialist in this group was Dr. Edward Seade. My medical assessment started with Ms. Megan, one of Dr. Seade’s Physician Assistants who was very professional, thorough, and respectful with questions she asked regarding the present symptoms which brought me to seek treatment. After about 10 minutes or so, I wondered aloud and asked Ms. Megan whether Dr. Seade was going to come assess me during my visit. She replied, “O yes! ” Then she stated she was just gathering information to take to Dr. Seade for him to review before he comes into the room to conduct his own assessment.
I was skeptical listening to Ms. Megan due to prior experiences of receiving referrals to see medical specialists who show up for less than 10 minutes to assess me or do not show up at all but are ready to prescribe me with invasive treatments or procedures.
Soon afterward, Ms. Megan left the room and Dr. Seade came into the room. He shook my hand as he introduced himself and sat down. Dr. Seade proceeded to ask for the history related to my symptomatology while he listened attentively as I narrated my problems to him. Afterwards, he asked me some questions for clarity. Dr. Seade then conducted a physical examination of my point of pain and referred me for an x-ray.
Dr. Seade’s professional mannerism of care provision put me at ease. I knew I was in good hands, and not just a number for profit maximization that medical treatment has become.
Dr. Seade and his group were very busy because the waiting room was full of people waiting to be seen. Despite the busy environment, Dr. Seade came in and out of the room where I was repeatedly to explain things and to respond to my concerns or questions. This is what I consider compassionate and empathic care provision.
After I returned to my examination room following the x-ray (the x-ray lady technician was professional and caring too), Dr. Seade came in to explain what the x-ray shows. He then advised me of the line of treatment he was recommending for my issue: an injection and physical therapy (which I declined) due to prior history not being of much help and using preventive techniques at home to help me manage my symptoms. Dr. Seade also gave information to his website for techniques to do at home and advised me to come back if things do not improve or get worse with a comforting and reassuring tone.
If you are a patient looking for a compassionate and empathic Orthopedic care facility that allows you to ask questions, treats you like a person who deserves the best care that the medical staff can provide to you instead of just a member, I would recommend Dr. Edward Seade and his group at the ORTHOPAEDIC SPECIALISTS OF AUSTIN on Guadalupe Street. This center demonstrated that there are still facilities who take seriously the Medical Oath of Hippocrates’ tenet of “do no harm” ….

An Appreciated Patient,
Stellamaris Ero

I see Dr. Heinrich at his Lakeway office. I’m crazy about him. He must be a total perfectionist. He replaced both my hips and made my legs the same length. He is easy to talk to he always sits down with me and listens to me like nobody ever has. I experienced a death in my family. Dr. Heinrich was tender and patient with me. I’m as impressed with his listening skills as I am with his surgical talent. It’s pretty obvious that his patients adore him and his staff tries to emulate his abilities.

Dr. Dodgin was very thorough and patient with me. After many months of suffering and multiple doctor visits, I think I finally have the answer to my hip pain and what can be done about it. Thank you, Dr. Dodgin

After interviewing four other surgeons, there was no question that Dr. Moghini was the one I trusted to do my back surgery. His method was to make sure of where the problem was, before cutting, by performing two exploratory procedures. All the other surgeons were ready to just dive in.
The conclusion led him to choose a less invasive one to start.
I am in recovery after four weeks.
My visit yesterday with an X-ray showed proper placement with a month of healing. There is still postoperative discomfort which is manageable with
minimal doses of pain medication.
He follows his patients for a full year, and I see him in 4 weeks then 8 weeks, etc.
The office management is vey friendly and efficient. My wait time was minimal.
The experience left me with the comfortable feeling that I interacted with caring people, I completely recommend Dr Moghini! Margaret Williams

Perfection. Staff at all levels are kind, gracious, knowledgeable, and efficient. So rare out there. Front desk, surgery scheduling, billing, appointment schedulers. Also MAs, xray staff, and PAs.

Heinrich is a seriously good person, a brilliant surgeon, and a compassionate health care provider.

How do I know so assuredly? Two new knees and soon two new hips. So many concerns, questions, and he listens and addresses them all. For real. He’s amazing.

Dr. Pedro Cosculluela did an amazing job on my ankle. After an initial examination he quickly recognized surgery was necessary (broken Talus). The procedure was complex, but his skill and expertise made it a success. Dr. Pedro is the man!

I have been very pleased with the care and quality of treatment from Dr. David Dodgin and staff.
Dr. Dodgin performed the surgery just as he detailed and followed up the next day to ensure that everything looked well.
From my first consultations and pre-op visits, to the actual knee replacement surgery and follow up visits, I have been treated warmly and with a genuine interest in my recovery. All my questions were answered in debt with recommendations to assist in my healing. My appointments were handled promptly and with patience in answering questions.

Excellent service, the doctor is very friendly and tries to understand everything, he does not speak Spanish but he tries and really cares to make his patients feel cared for and listens carefully and seeks a translation if there is a companion who speaks English, highly recommended and the processes it does if they work

I appreciate the care I always receive from Dr Heinrich and his excellent staff. I had a hip replaced several years ago and it continues to work perfectly. I have also had other doctors and physical therapists comment on what an excellent hip replacement I received. Dr. Heinrich and I discussed options for my other hip. He listened carefully and discussed test results in detail and we agreed on a path forward which I appreciate so much more than being told what I need to have done. It’s nice to have your opinion solicited.

Scheduled my appt. For Dr. Heinrich months in advance, arrive 10 minutes early, was told it would be over an hour wait. I asked to r/s and they said you’ll always have to wait here, and said it would be months to be seen. This is just so unprofessional. I’ll go elsewhere. If you make an appt, and overbook patients, this is just bad for business to make them wait extensively.
