Otani Hibachi Sushi, Weatherford TX

Zero stars. Sat for 15 minutes, only 2 tables and no one came to even get our drink order. Very poor service.

One of the best Hibachi grills I've been too. The food was amazing! I had the shrimp & calamari with fried rice. The shrimp was big and tasty; the cakamari was perfetly done (not 'chewy' like some calamari I've had). The fried rice and veggies were perfectly cooked with lots of flavor. The chef was very friendly. The prices were very reasonable (about what you would expect to pay at any hibachi restraunt). It was all so good, I forgot to take pictures. I would highly recommend trying this place next time you are hungry for good hibachi (and next time, I'll try and remember the pictures!).

The sushi is average at best.

It's very surprising that with the growth Weatherford is receiving the sushi quality is still average at best. I would recommend going to Ginza but with that closing it looks like Fort Worth is the only way to go.

Butterfly roll: decent. All fake crab and tasted like it. Usually the fake stuff tastes decent enough you don't notice but tonight I did. The salmon it was wrapped in was cut paper thin. Very disappointing. Just giving you decently thick salmon cuts would have made this way better.

Lobster Heaven: basically a bland California roll with fried lobster on top. Lobster was good, the roll itself was so-so. For being a $20+ roll this could use some major improvement.

This trip for My Grandsons Birthday so we waited for an hour before 6om so plan ahead. They do recommended reservations if possible but not required. They have lots of booths for full service at your table. Our chef was great, funny with all the skills (Ladies, watch your hair spray). The kids loved it and the Birthday Boy even caught some rice in his mouth that the chef flipped to him.
Ask for no onions or less salt or oil/butter if you like. But the flavor is really spot on.
Otani is a favorite for Hibachi!

We were greeted immediately and service was ok, but tables were dirty and our steaks come out well done when we order medium. All the other food was good.

It's one of our favorite places to eat in Weatherford. The food is always delicious, no matter the chef!

The sushi roll I had was good, ingredients seemed fresh. Server was attentive and friendly. The booths could use replacing, they were very cracked and dusty, especially at the top. Everything else seemed clean.

We eat here often. The chefs who cook hibachi style have different personalities and different skills and jokes, but all are great cooks! The cowboy roll is my favorite sushi roll, but their sushi is great, too. Give it a try for sure!

Food and service were good. The table was not clean. The booth wall was nasty. The back of the booth was very dirty as well. Bathrooms were marginal. Will not return.

Cook was clearly high or drunk not sure which but very impaired, over cooked the shrimp, gave half of our meat to the other family sitting with us, not one time did he stir the vegetables, they were hard and crunchy and severe at the very end, Cook was not attentive to his duties, nor did he clean grill when he was finished I've been hear 3 or 4 times never have I had such a bad experience,

The host was upset because his tip was only 5$ but gratuity of 18% was already added to my bill and the only reason he got that 5 is because I was tired of waiting for him to give me a check so I said keep the change. Otherwise food was good hibachi chef was nice and overall it was good.
