Outwest Express, El Paso TX

I worked at out west express for 3 1/2 yrs it was a great job dispatch will send u to were u want and will not send u to places u prefer not to go to like NYCfor example I only left cause of family issues but it’s finally all taken care of and I would so want my job back with them I regret everyday leaving but I had to but would do go back if I could

Awesome company to work for also staff are down to earth ur not a number but that really treat u like family

At 1st seems good company, don't expect much. Don't keep up with maintenance on equipment. After origination, went threw 2 trucks, 1st truck kingpins gone when need mechanical work done go to El Paso. Stay away from Kansas City. Dispatch don't truth in them at Kansas city terminal. Very unsafe equipment. Don't like to answer phone. Believe using Sam Sara to communicate. After 18 yrs of driving
When needing a problem resolved. Put blame on driver. They say they care about driver. Not true

2/24/23 7: 30am your driver exiting highway 55 exit 30 in Hamel Illinois entered a busy rote 140 with absolutely no regard to oncoming traffic in any direction. A loaded dump truck ended up on the shoulder. West bound traffic locking up brakes. When I honked he was laughing. Why would you employ such an azz?

I've enjoyed working with Out West Express over the past 4-5 years. They really take care of our customers freight and we can always count on them to answer the phone/emails in a promptly manner for updates. Thanks Out West Team!

Night and weekend dispatch never respond to questions from drivers, the shop only sometimes fixes issues brought to their attention and make you feel like a jerk for even mentioning a problem in the first place then never reach out when repairs are done, will get a phone call from someone there who hangs up before you have time to answer then immediately calling back no one in dispatch answers and no one else knows who called or why and no one will ever leave a voicemail. In short communication is abysmal and no one cares.

This is best trucking company i had ever worked for the dispatchers are fantastic there always someone who picks up the phone at all times, the trucks are well taken care of, great miles, great home time, the mechanics get the truck back on the road quickly, and the front office workers are extremely friendly and well help you in any way they can. The reason why i decided to leave this great company was to a pursue higher education to get a degree on mechanical engineering. I had nothing but a great experience with this company and would highly recommend drivers looking for new company to consider driving for Outwest.

Driving down I-20 in Texas east of Big Spring. 1st get cut off by y'all's driver then get flipped off too. Sad that they feel its ok to do this. Next time I'll get license plate or truck number.

I have worked here at outwest for 1 year and half and I like being part of this company. They are understanding and caring.

Driver managers ask you to do things for them they don't growl at you and tell you to do it everyone is polite and respectful you can't miss with this company

Western Tech has their trucks there, behind their yard, they have their training facility.

Great company to work with. Not the best pay per mile of the industry, but they sure take care of their drivers.

I was involved in an accident (no fault of mine) when I tried to get my OCC/ACC (they deducted insurance payments for 8 months from my payroll prior the accident and after the accident) I found out that they never filed with the insurance company, what was worse is they tried to get me to predate an insurance application and I was told to leave out the accident information 3 months after the accident (fraud?), My family and I have been without a paycheck since.
