OYO Historic Cameron Hotel Brownsville I-69E reviews
9 The rooms were ugly, smelly. Rooms were hot (air conditioner was only working in the hallways).
The bed sank, sheets had twins and burnt holes.
I stayed in the room for 10 minutes, I rather loose my money than to stay there a minute longer.
The lobby was nice, like time stood still in the 40's.
The desk clerk was very nice.
The best thing I can say about this place is that it's in a great location. The beds were comfortable, but they made a lot of noise when you shifted sleeping positions. Also, the walls are very thin. Aside from that, it's a very old structure, so don't expect luxury. Our room did have a TV with cable and a fridge, though. That was nice.
Honestly no privacy when I went to visit a friend that came down for an event I went over to see him and the worker followed me upstairs to see if I was really there to them. Like yes it’s ur place of business but to follow someone just to see someone is a whole different story
Stayed at room #20 last night. The sheets were dirty and stinky. My fiance got bit by a bedbug. We killed like 5 bedbugs that night. I totally won't be coming back ever. I don't recommend it. Now I have to figure out a way to make sure I don't take those pests to my house. Ps the first pic is the parking
If you like waking up to roaches crawling on ur face well this is the place for you. If you lovvee waking up to a nice cold shower and no hot water look no further. If you love spending hundreds for exterminators after saving a few bucks by staying here for bringing back sum souvenirs from this place like bed bugs and roaches well this is the place for you. One entrance in and out. Absolutely no guest for any reason if you do 25$ cash. No other form of payment. Had me walking around at 130am looking for an ATM since I had a guest over. Trust me they watch that door for anyoneh making opportunity since the hotel hasn't changed and no investment back into it. By far worst place I have ever stayed at. Owner of hotel needs to be bought out by someone who can make this hotel the historical beauty it was and could be. If you choose to stay here your money will not go to any renovations or upkeep of the hotel and are helping destroy a city landmark. Let the hotel go out of business so another owner can buy it and hopefully return it to it's glory is what I suggest.
Horror. In a word, horror. Dirty. No air conditioner, no blanket. The sheets are torn. And the price tag is so-so.
As a truck driver, I drive a Daycab and all I need is a bed and bathroom. If that's all you need, this is the place to be.
Dirty nasty falling apart. This place should be condemned. It is in a bad area, with the person running it can not speak english, or even near. No hot water or elevator. Beds were falling into floor. Pieces of carpet were placed here and there to cover up bad spots. The place is falling apart. Falling apart. Ugly nasty gross smelled so very bad.
Awkward location. Parking sucked. Beds small. Couldn't control the temperature so I was hot. Ceiling fan didn't work in room & roaches were unwelcome but appearing.
