P. Terry's Burger Stand #2 reviews
18Burger patties are school cafeteria quality. I ordered jalapeños on mine and when I told them they were not there they asked me to check again. I looked through the sad burger thoroughly. Not impressed the least. Oh and the coffee shake tasted like a plain vanilla shake.
Fast service but the guy at the window should've not asked if I wanted my receipt and just given it to me bc after I told him no and look on the bag there was a printed order that said get a free fries if u keep your receipt maybe thats y he asked cuz they probably want to save that free fries they probably don't want to make more fries or lose money?
I stopped in for a quick lunch today. Somebody cut me off on Lamar and took my place in line and my car was hanging out on the road. So I was a little bit bent out of shape when I got to the order mic. When I got there I was met with an energetic and genuinely friendly greeting. When I got to the window to pick up my food I was greeted by Andrew who had, possibly, one of the best customer service vibes I’ve ever seen. Authentically friendly (but not over the top), took what he was doing seriously, big smile, food carefully packaged, remembered my name, double checked my order, sent some well wishes, a compliment for the dog and some dog treats. None of it was scripted either. It was obvious he was just being his best self and, in the process, trying to make each customer’s day, which I’m pretty sure was making his own day too. A win win. This is how people go from working at the drive thru window to someday moving up and running parts of the business. The burger is the burger, the fries the fries etc. Andrew has no control over the recipe. But the service level Andrew provided is the part of the recipe for a successful business (and day) that can be controlled and he did it masterfully. Keep it up Andrew. The effort was noticed and appreciated.
Love their shakes! Great burgers and fries. Always enjoy seeing what their shake of the month is, like Nutella or birthday cake.
I was not impressed with the burger and fries. The bun fell apart and fries were cold. The only thing that was really good was the lemonade drink.
Good tastes great.but messed up the order a bit.didnt out some toppings as requested not a big deal as generally they are good.this is convinient location.
Went there last night hoping to order some food for my roommate and I. Some items apparently weren't on the menu in the Drive Thru, or some items had changed, we weren't sure, either way, that wasn't a big deal.
HOWEVER, what WAS a big deal was the guy operating the drive thru speaker/window. On two occasions this person was speaking under their breath in a condescending way. We were polite, friendly, not shouting, anything of that sort, so his actions were completely unwarranted.
The first time we caught him speaking under his breath, we couldn't quite understand him, but the second time, we clearly heard him state "Well if you just looked at the menu. ". We just asked him a question about a flavor of soda that was available, that was it, and we just didn't happen to see it listed on the drive-thru menu.
Sorry, but for the amount of restaurants I've worked with, and even working in the food industry myself for a time, this kind of behavior is completely unacceptable. I wouldn't put it passed someone like this to spit in my food if prompted. I won't be coming back.
One just has to love P. Terry’s, with many locations in Austin including 24hr ones!
Oh why, oh why won’t P. Terry’s come to Dallas?
I always order their delicious Veggie Burger with some add ons, and fantastic French fries.
The price is easy on the wallet but the quality is top notch!
. I always forget to take pictures as I’m usually just dig in immediately.while the food is piping hot.
The staff is knowledgeable and super friendly. No wonder there’s always a line for ordering (but it moves quickly)!
I also enjoy the quirky, unique architecture of each stand; no two look the same. Relaxing environment, always with great outside seating as well. Sooo much different and more pleasant than their big national, corporate competition.
Please P. Terry’s, open locations in Dallas, too!
I love their beef patties and milkshake. The banana bread was okay.the first one I've tried with no walnuts. Their French fries is like In N Out.
Quality is back up to snuff. Veggie burgers were not getting cooked at the right doneness.
Josh is also very good at his job.
Best Veggie Burger in all of Austin. The patty is potato based and not bean based like everywhere else. Fresh squeezed juices are an added bonus.
Must try if you are visiting Austin. They have several outlets in Austin, but surely look forward to their expansion to Houston and other locations.
Shout out to Marina for working the drive-thru window today with a smile
Saw the rest of the crew working hard, too! I vote for permanently paying y'all more per hour. As always my #3 was quality, and came out quick. Thanks y'all.
Ordered two orders (split for two people). Pretty simple order, was read back all correct, totals were said and everything was great. Then we pull up to the window, pay separately, and that process was seemless. Everything was excellent up to that point. Once we opened our food the orders were completely incorrect. 1 fries instead of two. All three burgers incorrect. None of them were plain and dry. The drinks were correct, and that's what the 1 star is for.
You might say: "Why didn't you guys just ask for a refund? " Well, we have already driven away to our next destination. That's the idea of a drive thru. I shouldn't have to worry whether or not my order is going to be correct, because the expectation is to be correct every time. (from corporate AND customers) I don't want to pause for 120 seconds in the drive thru to verify my order is correct.
Me and my coworkers love to come here during lunch hour they’re fast and have great quality food. The guy working the register in today’s lunch shift was super nice and efficient with taking/handing out orders and even dealing with some not kind customers. Great experience as usual. Highly recommend!
Best P Terry's around. Great customer service. Fast and efficient drive thru. Get the fries and put a little extra salt on dem things.
Fun place for the whole fam, or just you and your pup (in my case!) love it. Nothing fancy but I always stop here when I come to Austin
It's P Terry's you get what you'd expect. It's clean, efficient very pleasant, fast and inexpensive. Sometimes this is exactly what we need. It would get 5 stars in the take out business.
