Paik's Noodle reviews
16A taste that would make CEO Baek Jong-won proud.:) A place where you feel good because it’s delicious
Jjamppong sweet and sour pork was worth eating. I order Jjajangmyeon every time I go there because of my child, and the Jajangmyeon tastes burnt three times in a row. It wasn't so bad that I couldn't eat it, but it definitely had a burnt taste. One time, I thought the Mexicans had made a mistake in the kitchen, but when I saw that it tasted burnt 3 times in a row (3 times in a month), I thought they were constantly re-making the jjajang sauce instead of throwing it away every day.
I am not writing a review to interfere with the Hong Kong restaurant business. It's a good place to stop by on the weekend when you're shopping for groceries and want to eat Chinese food. The prices were cheap and it was nice to see so many foreign customers. I hope you only improve the taste of Jjajangmyeon and prosper.
I’m not sure if they changed management, but this place used to have better proportions in their food.
I pretty much always get the jjamppong (짬뽕) when I visit. They’ve been skimping on the seafood and now even the noodles by displacing the space with way too much cabbage and veggies. The seafood isn’t quite “fresh” and is probably thawed, so I’m not sure why they’re cheaping out.
The service is very rigid and they won’t give you an extra bowl and offer to-go containers instead.
The food is amazing! I had the extra spicy Jjamppong (Gochu Jjamppong) and Tangsuyuk (fried pork). Jjamppong is wonderfully hearty and flavorful. This place is a go-to spot.
Tried the restaurant for the first time after grocery at Hmart. The service was only okay, food was good, but the waitress at the end asked for tip and scoffed at me when I said no. I only dined on my own as a quick meal after grocery and have not met any server who'd actually act mad when not being tipped. Unprofessional.
Service was sub-par and lady server scoffed and was offended that I only tipped 5% and kept pestering me about it.
Super unprofessional. I should've taken back my tip at that point. Maybe the restaurant owner should pay their employees a living wage so that their servers have a better attitude towards the customers.
Looks like this place is going downhill. The lady was so rude and refused to add more noodles for Jjajangmyun for extra $ even though they have an option to do that on the menu. I had to order 3 food items for 2 people which I didn’t want to.
Too small portion. Charging for take out boxes. Too high minimum charge for credit card. Good for owner, bad for customer.
My jajangmyeion was decent. I got a Togo order. I used some spices from home because it was a tad bit bland. They also need to add more potato flour to thicken it up a little but overall tasty. The restaurant smelled a bit like sewage which is not their fault but I was off putting. Service was great and they tended to me as soon as I walked through the door.
If you order Ttangsuyuk, you'll notice just how paper-thin the meat is. I don't think the seafood in Jjampong was that fresh. I thought the staff was rude.
I recently visited here for lunch. I was with my coworkers. We ordered Tangsuyuk and Jjamppong noodles. It was very disappointing. Soup and sauce taste was fine. But there were no proteins in foods. Tangsuyuk had thin slice of pork. Also it was hard to find seafood and pork in Jjamppong noodles. Even though their price has gone up, the food quality was going down. I will not go here anymore unless I hear they are changed.
Sunday afternoon.
This was my first visit and didn’t really know what to expect.
It’s actually a self-serving place.
Go inside and go next to the counter to order.
One of the guys handing out food from the kitchen told me to enjoy my food and he was immediately cleaning some tables. Friendly & Hard worker.
Foods were great! Not too salty or too greasy.
맛있네요. 깔끔해요.
음식 주방에서 넘겨주는 남자분 친절해요.
Rude, charges to take out leftovers, the portion sizes get smaller everytime I revisit- fewer and fewer because the employees make me feel so uncomfortable. It would have been my to-go place otherwise since I eat out everyday.
I’ve only tried their jajamyon and tangsyuk but both were so good. I honestly think they have the best jajamyon around! I always crave it
I highly recommend a bowl of black bean noodles and a side of pot sticker. Fried dumplings are nice and crispy and are good for scooping up black bean sauce.
I had the black bean noodles and it was delicious. Definitely the top 10 delicious black bean noodles I've had.
