Papa Johns Pizza, San Antonio TX

It was so good! I came out on December the 17th and the service was amazing! My order was hot and fresh. I don't usually write reviews but papa johns deserves this one.

Stay away at all cost. The female employee keeps scratching her face and touching food, just nasty. Needless to say I decided to go elsewhere. It was Sunday 9 October 2022 at 3: 30pm.

I just ordered a pizza for carry out tonight. 9/30/2022
They were super swamped and it took way longer than expected. I’m rating this 5 Because everyone in there was working as hard as they could and they were SO NICE and had such GREAT attitudes even though they were super stressed out.
I’m home now with my pizza. It’s hot, fresh and exactly what I ordered. They’ve definitely improved over the last year.

I used to always order from this Papa John’s when I worked in the office because it was easy to pick up on my way home. I stopped ordering from them because they were not making great pizza for a good while.

It seems like they are back to what they used to be! Thanks y’all for great pizza tonight! Y’all were super friendly and I know it’s hard when people are rude and you’re doing everything you can.

I will say I miss having actual Papa John’s drivers deliver my pizza. This new DoorDash delivery is not good for Papa John’s. I believe Door Dash is great for some places but if you were ever used to pizza delivery like it has been for 30+ years, Door Dash is lame. It’s rarely delivered in less than 1.5 hours. Might as well just pick it up like I did. Otherwise it won’t be fresh or hot.

Whoever owns this franchise should be good to the team working tonight, they’re working hard. Makes me want to come work for a few hours on Friday nights for fun and to help them!

The manager so mean! When i come back because that put too much butter in the chesee sticks! She roughly shoved it out of my hand and threw it in the trash!

Shocking place. Dirty, bad service and didnt even have enough change in the cash register to break a 100 so couldnt even get a pizza from the place in the end!

Hadn't ordered from Papa John's in years because of lousy service and product. Tried again last night and while the pizza arrived inside the timeline the website said it was be, it was cold and had to be microwaved. Cold pizza not acceptable and microwaved pizza less than ideal. Won't order from here again.

Absolutely awful pizza tonight. Barely any cheese on some slices despite ordering extra cheese. Pizza dough not fully cooked one other pizza. Pizza was barely warm upon delivery. Won’t be ordering from here for a while to see if things change down the road

I used Papa John’s Application to order online. The delivery person left the order at the apartment complex office even when I had provided an apartment number. Nobody called me to ask any questions or explain anything. The app doesn’t have any phone numbers or options to ask anything.

I had an outrageous experience this weekend with papa John's I ordered pizza and hour in advance for a party they call me an hour and a 1/2 later to tell me they can't do my order because they have no deliverers. I kindly asked can you make them so I can go pick them up and the manager said no. You don't go canceling someone's order an hour and a 1/2 after expected and then have absolutely no other option but no papa John's ya'll are failing badly

Will never order from here again. The website wasn't working (every time I selected "place your order" it went back to "review your order"), so I called the store and they asked that I call the ordering line. I did, and the lady I spoke to did not speak English well, then we got disconnected halfway through my order. I called the store to talk to the manager to try and place an order, but he said they were too busy to help me and asked that I call the order line again. I guess they make enough money to not have to care about keeping repeat customers.

The last two times I ordered from this location the pizza arrived cold. They use door dash and I don't think they use the insulated bags like the regular drivers do. Either way it was cold. I left a complaint using the Papa John app and I have not got any response. I am not looking for a hand out, I just want know they are doing something to address the issue. If I don't hear anything soon I guess I will need to go over their head and talk to Shaq about this situation.

This is the first bad experience I’ve had at a Papa John’s and the first time I have ordered from this location. Both pizzas were inedible. They were not cut at all. We had to use a steak knife to cut them into pieces. There was no garlic sauce in either box.
There were several places in the pizza where the sauce and the toppings did not even connect to the dough. You could separate the crust leaving the entire top free to slide around. The dough had the consistency of very hard cardboard. My son cannot even eat a single piece because he said it hurt his teeth.
We ended up throwing both pizzas into the trash.

I would like to remain a Papa John’s customer if we can resolve the issues I had with this order.

Called to add to order. Was informed that I didn’t have an order there however my card was billed. The person I talked to was very rude. Will NEVER order from this location again. Now I have to dispute this charge with my bank.

Do not order from this location if you want your order in less than an hour and 20 min. What’s worse is the tracking on the app updated to show that my order was canceled. I immediately called and spoke to someone who had no customer service skills at all and came across as very rude or tired. They told me it wasn’t canceled and someone was on the way. My order finally arrived 1: 30 min later after the app estimated 45-50 min. The older gentleman who delivered the pizza was the only pleasant experience

Well my daughters Halloween party was suppose to have a scary Jack-O-Lantern pizza.needless to say it was definitely horrific. It looks like the hired Stevie Wonder to start making their pizzas.
