Pappas Bar-B-Q reviews
14They ran out of the bread that was normally used for the brisket sandwich no buns no poboy bread said they only had the white sandwich bread and wanted to charge the same price. The communication at the drive thru window face to face was awful.
Have to say the people taking our order, the cashier and the lady working on clean up are some of the friendliest, nicest people! The food was amazing and love the atmosphere here. Wow.
The Pappas on SW Freeway (near Hillcroft) is hands down my favorite location. The food is always fresh, hot, and delicious! Their green beans are so good! Brisket and baby back ribs are on point. Definitely recommend you visit if you have never been.
Came at 2 PM on a Sunday. The chicken and the pork ribs were very undercooked. I can understand if it’s busy for the lunch rush, but there was too much red on the meat. Meh.
Pretty terrible experience. Ordered curbside thinking it would be an easy experience. I checked in and waited 20 minutes after the time they said to be there before they picked up the phone finally and brought my food. Of course, my order was wrong. They asked if I was sure I didn’t choose the wrong thing. I never got a receipt and had no way to check. Although I was certain I didn’t. Anyway, they replaced what they needed to replace, but I got home with no receipt and they forgot the bread and I only had a tiny cup of BBQ sauce for 2 entrees. Price was a little over $50 so it made it worse to deal with.
I do go there for breakfast tacos and those are great.
I ordered a slice beef meal, there was so much fat that I had to throw 1/2 of the meat away. Sad yet they raised their prices. I will not return.
First time here, and my experience was underwhelming. The meat has a great taste, I enjoyed the rub on the ribs and the moist brisket. I was impressed with the large selection of sides. However, the ones I tasted could have been better tasting (beans & potato salad). I did have a piece of carrot cake, which was moist and delicious. Overall, the price doesn't match the quality. I recommend The Pit Room or other local spots. Unfortunately, I wouldn't be coming back.
The place was very busy and according to an employee, they were short staffed. Half my order was forgotten, so I had to come back. Food was fantastic
Stuffed baked potatoes is what brings me back every time. I have tried many other places and no one has ever come close to these!
This location is not worth your moneyI went for a quick lunch and this place was not quick. I waited in the drive through line for 20 minutes for fries that were cold and barely anything in the container. I called to let them know my issues and the manager gave me attitude and said "well maybe next visit will be better. " I guarantee there will be no next visit to this location.
Way overpriced for the quality of the food. BBQ is nowhere near the Pappas other⁰restaurant quality.
Ask for two slices of bread for the kids meal at the drive thru but then I had to pull into a spot and wait for food. No bread in my order.
Overpriced, dried-out brisket. They think naming a bad restaurant Pappas makes it worthy of the prices charged. Best be off of that high horse now.
I paid 15.00 for a chef salad to go, it had no eggs and 3 peices of meat, the ham was 1slice cut in three peices, one slice of sausage and one slice brisket cut in two, A****LOT OFLETTUCE! RIDICULOUS, NEVER AGAIN
