Pappasito's Cantina reviews
26 No zero Star? Poor service. Waited for 30+ minutes for a table. When asked about 3 tables that were free for about 15 minutes they simply didn't care. Asked us to continue waiting. There were about 6 employees doing nothing in the reception, just talking to each other, and 2 other talking close to the free tables mnot cleaned yet. When we approached the tables to wait, they asked us to leave the area, which was outside, and we ahould wait inside.
This was the second time we experienced a bad service in the same restaurant. In the 1st time, we asked for having lunch outside, because of the pandemic, but they said they were only serving inside.
One of our go-to spots every time we're visiting family in Houston over the last 20+ years. The chips are thin, crispy, and absolutely addictive. The queso and guac are on-point. And the ribs are fall-off-the-bone deliciousness. Our server yesterday was so cheerful and wonderful. Awesome place for a large family get-together. Portion sizes are more than generous and perfect for sharing and you can get margaritas in pitchers. It gets packed so make reservations.
I had the best experience today, thanks specifically to Ali the manager and Lizzie my server! Both were wonderful and helped my mom customize her seafood order! Thanks to all the staff for making our meal enjoyable, will definitely be back soon!
Food is great and the prices for most of the menu items are very inflated. Only eat here as often as you can afford.
Chips, salsa, and margaritas still yummy, but overall it has gotten too expensive for us, so we will look elsewhere. There are plenty of options for TexMex. Adios.
This place is pricey but the service is top notch and my meal was exceptional - I was hungry. The whole place was spotless.
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE by the hostesses. We walked into the restaurant.
1-Hostess gave attitude upon request for a different table seating
2-She approached the hostesses stand, & told the other hostesses. They rolled their eyes and whispered about it, while we waited for our table.
3-10 Mins past by, table wasn’t cleaned up. During this time the hostess only approached one person about cleaning the table. This person Also rolled their eyes & WALKED OFF
4-We asked how long. She said “Just wait”
5- At least 4 hostesses were at the stand, it was not busy and none of them had the INITIATIVE, sense of urgency for customer service to go clean the table. They were doing literally NOTHING.
6-DIRTY restaurant. All tables were full of plates & in need of cleaning.
7-Mocking “Y’all have a wonderful”. When we walked out, one of the hostesses was extremely passive aggressive when addressing us.
It was honestly disappointing from a Pappasitos restaurant.
The restaurant should be ashamed of having those hostesses.
Over priced, food was ok and they didn't have what we ordered which was disappointing. Not the pappasitos that I remembered from past visits.
Food was delicious and plentiful! Only issue I have is with the delay in getting water and appetizers to our table. We arrived at 5: 30pm which is quite early for a dinner crowd. However, to order water and appetizers took some time. Let’s get this corrected at the Sugarland location and I can revisit the rating.
Yesterday, December 13th, around 8pm we got extremely bad service from the only Asian waitress there. The reason I point out race is because she wasn’t wearing a name tag and besides her trash attitude and stupid facial expressions she made toward us, she had nothing else to distinguish her from the other helpful staff.
When we sat down in the bar area, instead of introducing herself and welcoming us to the restaurant, asking if we wanted anything to drink, or any appetizers, or even a MENU, we were told we couldn’t sit there unless we were buying drinks which was literally the only reason we were there and why we sat in the bar. So then she told us she’d need to see our ID’s which we provided easily, and she decided she wanted to analyze all of ours for almost three minutes each almost like she was suspicious of our ID’s. We had to ASK for our own ID’s back because she was taking way too long. So then with attitude again she says “Ok so what are you guys drinking? ” And when we asked for blended margaritas, she angrily asked if we wanted frozen. We were so confused about what we did to this girl and why she couldn’t distinguish the non existent difference between blended and frozen margaritas. So then we had asked to get food and she told us we needed to ask someone else to get a separate booth so we can eat cause we couldn’t eat at the bar. We weren’t sure if that was accurate but figured that maybe she was being truthful. What we didn’t understand is why she didn’t do it for us when she walked by the girl she wanted us to ask twice. So the other girl happily and readily seated us. Guess who was flirting with the bartender and making rude ugly faces at us, even when we looked her dead in the eye? Our original garbage waitress. We didn’t catch her name because at this point we were so aggravated we just wanted to drink our drinks and leave but we think we heard her being called “Clarice” or something like that.
So finally we wanted to pay and she held her hands out just waiting for us to put our cards and receipts in her hand. We had half a mind to walk out or throw our cards and receipts in her face.
We will NEVER come back to this location except to give her hell if we feel so inclined.
Great fajitas and the garlic butter sauce is my favorite. The margarita was kinda weak which was unexpected but overall good experience.
I got four refills of lemonade and they charge me for all of them, that was 10 dollars for 4 refills with a little of lemonade of a cup full of ice not happy at all most restaurants don't charge for refills.
Really good lamb chops. They are the best I have ever had. This is my new favorite restaurant in the Houston area.
Paula the waitress was very friendly and attentive answered all our question we were very happy with serve. We live in corpus Christi and the is no Pappasito's here
The only negative think is that we almost missed it your sign is not very visible from the highway.
We love Wednesdays like most of Houston. The service is never good, but the food makes up for it.
CONTINUE Birthday party for my Grandaughter at Pappasito Restaurant in Houston. #21GREAT F00D AND SERVICE WITH THE FAMILY
Shrimp brochette and Ixtapa beef enchiladas were yummy. Our server was Yvonne and she was fabulous!
Went for lunch today. The wife and I had a terrific meal of Hatch queso, beef and chicken fajitas as well as beef fajita quesadilla. Topped off with lemonade.
Quinn was our server and did a phenomenal job. Staff was efficient and courteous. Everything on point.
Fiod was too spicy & service was really not any good, my friend asked for sweet tea & instead got unsweet.
The best Pappasitos in town. Fajitas are amazing! Yes they are always busy but it's worth the wait.
