Dropped by here to train while at a conference in Austin and I could not have been more impressed. Multiple people - staff and students - introduced themselves and made me feel super welcome. Excellent instruction and great rolls. Highly recommend Paragon!

Been meaning to give my review. Dropped in on one of Prof Jose's classes in 2018. He gave an excellent lesson, and him, and all of the students were very welcoming. The students there all gave me tough (in a good way) and technical rolls. I was very impressed, as I was a young blue belt still in my 20s, coming from a comp school. Would love to come back next time I visit Austin.

I dropped in while on a business trip. Laura was very welcoming on the phone and at the front desk. Jose was very helpful and welcoming as well. What I really appreciated was the vibe. As a white belt, I had a couple purple belt students offer to drill with me. They were most helpful and patient, even teaching me some nuances that I would have otherwise missed. The gym is clean and the class was well attended. I will definitely be back and definitely recommend Paragon Austin.

Best academy in South Austin. From instructors and their quality of lessons to team members and the gym culture, this is a special place which I cannot recommend enough regardless of background, gender, or experience and goals in the sport.

Great Jiu Jitsu academy. Good instructors, good vibes from the other members. It's a good mix of hobbyists and competitors. It seems more weighted towards training in the gi, but they do offer no-gi classes. The instructors are very knowledgeable and communicate the details of techniques well. There is a strong focus on drilling and positions/systems are taught sequentially over a few classes. The academy doesn't have the cult-ish vibes of some other schools, they allow you to train in whatever gi you want and they promote cross-training at other schools. Their open mats on Friday night are well attended and fun.

Bill was a great coach, great coach, learn some solid turtle to back take transitions. Would recommend!

Came in town for a comp and was able to get some really great training in everyone was super cool and very hospitable

Visiting family from out of town and stopped in with my cousin to introduce him to Ju Jitsu. The instructors and students were very welcoming and helpful for us beginner level students. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to learn and challenge themselves.

Traveling through the area, walked in and was immediately greeted even through the chaos of the kids class was still ensuing. The class was very well run, everyone was kind and accommodating and even invited us in for another class! 10/10 Recommend.

Came from out of town and glad I decided to come train here! Very tight knit feel and every was incredibly welcoming. Professor Jose is very detailed. Felt like home away from home and would definitely come back anytime I’m in Austin!

I practice BJJ in Michigan and did a drop in at Paragon/Austin. Super clean, really welcoming/friendly, good instruction/drilling and nice atmospheric and at the end of class we did timed rounds. Really fun. I cannot wait to return!
