WORST ER experience EVER! DO NOT let them fast track you in the ER! This is a review of my ER department experience. I had to be wheeled in with a wheelchair because I could not walk at all. I reported that I fell and had knee, back and hip pain. I feared I had broken something. I was in horrible pain and reported I was uncomfortable in a seated position. When the triage nurse said she was going to put me in "fast track", I thought that would be a good thing. IT IS NOT! Turns out Fast Track is a minor emergency triage option. Very appropriate for kids with ear infections, etc. But not for trauma! They wheeled me to a tiny hot waiting room where we waited for an hour and a half only to be directed to a room the size of a regular ER room with 5 or 6 recliners separated by curtains. The room was tiny and also very hot. I told the nurse I could not sit in that chair, that I needed a bed. Sitting in the wheelchair for as long as I had had caused my pain to increase a lot! They said they don't have a bed. Sorry. I explained my pain and injury and they said that's all they have. So they put me in a torn up recliner (they were all torn up) that had a broken handle and didn't even recline. I was in tears by this point. The PA had another patient change seats with me because mine didn't recline. After a while of sitting in pain and crying the PA saw me, after she saw another kid with an ear infection. I happen to know every symptom and treatment for every other person in that room because, remember, only curtains separated the many chairs. Another fun point, we got the chair directly beside a very dirty bathroom with no soap that apparently was the only one for the whole ER department, because the traffic level was very high. My wife was constantly stepping out of the bathroom seekers way. Imagine being examined by the PA while tons of little kids brushed past to get to the bathroom. Of course they stopped and watched for a bit because they are kids and they don't understand how horribly inappropriate that is. The pa promised pain meds soon, but no one came. I was taken to the xray room with no pain meds and I cried through the whole xray. My pain was at a 10 and I had to climb around on that hard cold xray table. At least the table was cold after sitting in the 100 degree fast track waiting room and joke of an ER room. They finally came with some meds. Pills, no IV's here! No pillows for my knee to at least try to make me more comfortable. Nothing. Nothing but a bunch of kids with ear infections.
We begged them to move us to a room. We asked 2 nurses and the PA and they all said, "I'll see what I can do". I bet you can guess what they did. NOTHING. There was a young man that also was in the fast track waiting room with us, and I saw the room across the hall from us empty and they put him in it because the recliners were all full. Instead of moving me into the room and putting him in the recliner that he was apparently in line for too. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?
Look- I think that fast track deal has its place and is a good idea. FOR KIDS WITH EAR INFECTIONS! Not for a trauma patient in extreme pain. If I was mobile enough I would have left and gone somewhere else. But guess what? They took my wheelchair, so I couldn't go anywhere. Not even to the bathroom. My wife had to help me hop to the bathroom when I couldn't wait any longer. I'll tell you this is the absolute worst ER experience I have ever had in all of my 50 years. No bed, no IV, no pillow or blanket, no M. D.and no empathy either. Unless you are bringing in a kid with an earache, DO NOT LET THEM PUT YOU IN THAT "Fast Track" It is an absolute joke. In fairness, I had treatment at that ER on a previous occasion and had a regular ER room, and Dr. Jordan was wonderful. I was not so lucky this time. SUMMARY: I did not receive appropriate treatment for my specific need. I was ignored. The staff was rude.
***update added. Final Orthopedic diagnosis is a fracture and completely torn ACL. This type of injury should not be put in the fast track with a recliner.

This place is a disgusting joke. The facility is filthy. The bathrooms had no soap or hand sanitizer. The staff is uncaring and more worried about staying on Facebook on their phones. I witnessed more than one employee doing this rather than working. It took me asking what’s wrong with me to get an answer when they had the results for who knows how long. I was never seen by a doctor the 4 1/2 hours I was there. Then to top it off they said it was normal for blood to be in urine!

Kind of sad when you can't take care of someone, so you care flight them to a hospital in the DFW area.

I'm noticing the hospital responds to the positive feedback. Why don't you respond to the negative? With all the bad reviews one would think you would be interested in trying to improve customer perception. Please read my previous review and respond. I outlined a clear problem with your ER that can be easily addressed if you will just read it. Every reputable establishment from hospitals to restaurants respond to negative feedback. Those are the establishments that gain the trust of the public. The ones that we can see responses being given to issues which require concern and resolution.

I had surgery at PRM had to stay overnight. Everyone were very kind and professional. The staff on 5th floor treated me like royalty. When I pushed the buzzer they immediately came to my assistance. The meals were very good. Many Kudos to all the staff.

PRMC has the worst emergency room in the world I went to the hospital two days in a row and was never seen they would do triage then wait for 4-5 to even get back to a room if you want a good emergency room DO NOT GO HERE! I will never go back. Sulphur springs and Mt pleasant are better and better care

I'm writing this as I wait with my dad in the ER. He's a heart patient. We've been in the waiting room for three hours. Do yourself and your loved ones a favor and avoid this place at all costs. All the staff is pretty friendly, but the facility as a whole sucks giblets.

Editing my review to add, we finally made it into one of the most disgusting emergency rooms. There's dried blood all over the floor.

The emergency room moves so slow. We drove here from Clarksville but it would have been worth it to go the extra 15 miles in the other direction to Texarkana

Overcharged us by 12000.00 they said was for a room that turned out to be a dirty cubicle with a curtain. Then they tried to blame it on the doctor using a code that was no longer valid. If it wasn't valid how could he use it? They wanted my money up front, but they certainly haven't been up front paying me back!

One of the worst hospitals I’d ever been to the emergency room staff from check in point to being placed in the back is completely incompetent RUN if you value your life or getting any kind of quality of care I sat for over 4 hours ended up having to remove my own IV and they tried to discharge me without even finishing out previous orders of an ultrasound and tried to place the blame on shift changes.

In the emergency and not complaining about a wrong diagnosis but there is that considering I had to go to a different hospital 2 days later. But the blood oxygen thing they put on my finger so tight and it hurt beyond words and made my wrist and fingers swell to twice their size considering I have RA. When I got up to leave I felt worse than when I come in but I would have not. Went back in for anything. It was an awful experience

DON'T GO! 2nd worst hospital for heart attack sufferers. Unbelievable! The employees are so self absorbed they shouldn't be treating anyone. They act like they're all that when they just wannabe all that. Walked out in the midst of my massive heart attack and went to Baylor Scott & White in McKinney, where they treated me as they should have, conducted a heart procedure, watched over me in CCU for a few days and sent me home. Paris should be shut down.

On 4/16, I waited in the ER waiting room for 5 hours, never being admitted. HORRIBLE service! Ended up going to the Antlers hospital, they saw me immediately, took great care of me, and off I went. Who would have known the high quality of service available in a small town. Thank you PUSHMATAHA COUNTY HOSPITAL for helping me when I needed it most, AND for showing up the larger regional hospital.

Only 1 staff member (that was a CNA) introduced their self out of the 9 employees that interacted with my grandmother. She is on contact precautions and no one wore a gown in her room. The lab tech had gloves that the index figure was torn off while she was taking her blood. The wall in the halls needed to be patched and painted. Does Joint Commission come to this hospital?

I have to say our experience was pretty good. My sister was having a baby and we had to spend the whole day here waiting. The nurses and doctors were all every friendly and helpful. The place was clean. They had vending machine and a cafe down stairs. All was good.
