Parsons Marina at Lake Whitney

The people and food here are great! Good live music, outstanding views of the lake and really good pizza.and, they sell buckets of beer, what a novel idea!

If I could give zero stars I would. This place will not be open much longer. Spent $250 a night for 4 nights in one of the 5th wheel campers they rent out. No hot water the first night. I notified them. Second night the septic was full to the top in the bathroom. Then the ac decides to quit on us with 3 kids and a senior service dog. Nope they still did not even try one time to come and address the issues. You cant even get ahold of anyone. What a joke! We will not be back.

There's a guy on a mower obviously on something bc he's screaming rap songs at the top of his lungs. The lady at the bar n grill is always rude. The food taste horrible. I do not recommend this place there's plenty of other places to stay at the lake.

The restaurant needs waitresses the food takes over an hour to get. When you get your order it’s wrong and belongs to another table. Appetizers should come out first they came out at the end. Really if they just would hire waitresses it would resolve the problem.

It was ok, not the greatest. The service was fast and friendly. Prices were reasonable. I had the grilled red fish with veggies. It was salty, but I was able to tone it down with the steam veggies. My husband had the wings. He didn't care for it. He said it tasted vinagry. It's a nice place to sit out and enjoy some beers or drinks with the beautiful view. Customers were nice and down to earth. I would give it another try.

Update: Got to eat Shookys, good burger great onion rings. Koozies are free with the beer. Live music was a nice touch and dogs are welcomed on the patio. Sunset is the best time.

Looks like it's going to be a fantastic place. I just moved here so I was checking out the lake and how things were. The marina wasn't open yet but the inside look very appealing can't wait to check them out a little closer.

Well the service is excellent, And the food is great! Oh and the party barge is a real blast. I just wish the bar would serve regular beers like ultra and Coors Light.and the music entertainment should stay later than 10: 00. When they're open till 12: 00. It would be also nice if they had a dance floor, but other than that I will say it's a great atmosphere. The Parsons have really fixed the place up nice thank you Whitney sure needs it.

We did the cruise (Shookies), which was so relaxing. We even made some new friends. Really enjoyed it!

Camping sites are unlevel and really close together. Makes you wonder if the people who did the sites have ever been camping before. There was leftover crawfish and trash all over our site when we arrived. You can walk to the edge to see a beautiful view from above of the water; there's no beach area, just some sketchy steps where you can walk down to the water. There is not a dumpster or anywhere to dump trash while you're there. There wasn't a park monitor, so campsite neighbors could be loud and stay up late and have as many pets as they wanted off of their leashes. There's no where to park vehicles so everyone just parked in front of the campsites and blocked the view. At $50 a night, we just expect more out of a site.

Interesting spot with a restaurant; private boat slips; public ramp for fee - free if you eat at restaurant; fishing $10; lake level is LOW!

Campers are pretty close to one another and there is no clear area for fishing, but it was a pretty area. The restaurant did take about an hour just for 2 orders of cheese sticks but it looked pretty swamped and the cheese sticks were delicious, so I wasn't mad about it.

This place is so friendly and open. Why anyone would say it is racist is beyond me. I myself am Mexican. I have always been treated with the utmost respect. People that run this have relatives that are not “white“ but everyone gets treated with the same respect and love. I highly, highly recommend this place. Kudos to Crystal, Victoria &Kenzie, and the rest of the amazing staff.

Parsons Marina at Whitney Lake was a hidden gem for us. We loved it here, so much so we extended our stay. Crystal the host was awesome, she kept us informed of things going on at the Marina & at Shooky's Bar & Grill, she was a pleasure to talk with.
This place was a great place to relax, unwind & go at your own pace. And let me tell you the lake & sunsets here were absolutely beautiful!

On October 31,2022, I received a text message from Royal Wiseman from Parsons Marina telling us they are canceling our November 05th sunset cruise for two that we booked/paid for online on October 24,2022 for our anniversary. He stated via text that he can send refund.
On November 02,2022, I asked him about the refund via text. He replied saying he thought he sent it and asked if I disputed.
Attempted calls and texts have not been returned since November 02, November 06,2022 and November 10,3022.
Bank will not process our dispute.
Please contact us ASAP to give us our refund.
