Patillo's Barbeque reviews
15I love their food it has always been my favorite for BBQ food is always great tasting wish they had a spot in the northend. I been going to Patillo for the last 30 yrs love the family.
We were craving some good Texas BBQ and this place surely did not disappoint. We got the short rib plate and a pork sandwich with a side of coleslaw. It’s all worth trying. Family owned and ran for over 100 years and it’s clear they continuously create delicious bbq. We will come here again!
We had a wonderful experience at this barbecue place the food was great the staff was so friendly and Quincy made sure that my experience was awesome he showed me how he fix the The links he showed me how the wood burning fire pit Works
I really had a great time there we stayed there about an hour and a half
The barbecue is so good but the Jamaican rice is also an excellent dish
BBQ, Ordered BBQ Chicken. Potato Salad, and Green Beans with Half & Half Tea.
There’s was good,
The chicken was dry over 75%.
The potato salad was disappointing.
The Green beans - a 5 out of 10.
I have lived home and abroad and have always remember my youth and the favorite food places. Pattillo’s barbecue was always one of them. So was Mr.hotdog, which I mistakenly thought it was Portillo’s also until my big sister finally made me understand the difference today.
I tip the worker. She was nice. But I wouldn’t out of tip this much if I had a taste of the food first. I would have returned it before coming back to Houston but I missed the exit and didn’t want to turn around.
I was starving because I had not had breakfast and food you taste marvelous when you get hungry. Very disappointing. Especially after waiting so many years.
But I remember the Pattillo’s were very nice family.
Wonderful experience, food was hot and delicious. Great service and so friendly. Would definitely recommend.
I've been eating at Patillo's since I could walk and it is as good as it was back then. Everything on the menu taste outstanding and is cooked to perfection. This food is sooooo good it should be against the law.
I went to patillo's twice this week. I use to love going. I ordered a link to days ago. Sauce watery. Today I ordered brisket sandwich, meat thin, no taste an watered down sauce. I won't be going back. Was my favorite as a child. Now smh
Best BQ there is! Long history and service. If you try this BQ you will never choose another!
One of the oldest barbecue restaurants in Texas, Patillo's has some of the best barbecue around. I recommend their pork plate and their homemade links. Family owned and run, they're a legend in Southeast Texas.
Owner was in when I went, he was kind. Half smoked chicken was good, well seasoned, not too smokey. Excited to go back!
I was waited on by some really nice people, but the bottom line is the food. It was not goof. The sliced beef tasted like frozen store bought barbecue beef. I literally could not eat the links. Just not a good experience.
Where do I start, the food was disgusting to the point I did not eat it, nor did I give it to my family! I gave it away to someone who needed more than I. After tasting the meal, it was immediately obvious that I would be giving it away and never going back to this place. There was some good sides but the meat was not. The brisket was soaked in a gravy, there was no smoked ring around the meat I don't knownif they bake the food or smoke it. The ribs was really one and a half rib that was cut up to seem like your were getting a good portion size but I can tell you now, you won't get what you payed for! The bbq sauce has too much seasoning and you could see that at the bottom of the plate and bag because the grease will run out the side of the plate and into the bag. Overall rating is due to the test and presentation of the plate. 1 star and maybe. 5. (That's being generous)
Glo, the server, was an absolute sweetheart! The chicken and ribs were smoked to perfection. Loved the potatoe salad (without the onions). Defintely worth the stop if you're passing through. Personal rating 9/10. Will definitely come again.
Such a cool place! A BBQ place established in 1912 with so much charm. The owner greeted us at the door and his brother gave us the history of the restaurant. The portions were large so make sure you’re hungry! And the sweet tea- oh my goodness! It’s just the kind of place you’d hope to run into on a road trip.
