I was very grateful to Nick, who came out to provide a $70 written estimate when my AC compressor failed on Friday. Nick was friendly, helpful and had very good advice. Payless was quick to schedule him, and he even came early, which is so helpful when the customer is suffering in the heat. Ultimately, I selected Dalton AC/Heating to do my complete AC/Heating replacement because their free written estimates used similar high-quality materials, they identified several additional issues (like frayed wiring) that were recommended for replacement, AND their total estimate was significantly under that which was quoted by Payless. I do want to say, however, that Payless did stand by their quote and even offered to reduce the price to match that of their competitor. I believe Payless to be genuine in their best interest for their customer, they just weren't right for me, at this time.

I called a different company first. When I told the other company that the home was vacant, they didn’t think it was high on their priority list. Three weeks later, I finally got fed up and called Payless. They came within 2 hours. It was a quick fix. Now I know to call them first.

I went through a reference, trust me they are worth it. Gary & Nick are the guys you call for. Great service & reasonable price.

I got several quotes for a full unit replacement and Payless gave me the best deal for an amazing unit. They were friendly and professional. Would recommend them to anyone.

Our AC system went out late on Easter Sunday afternoon. I called Bruce, who answered right away and added us to the schedule for Monday morning. On Monday, Nick the tech, was on time. He did a good job of explaining and showing me the issues with our AC unit. We had a full new system installed the next day. The process was easy. Even Gary, the owner, stopped by to check on everything. Payless Cooling & Heating was timely, professional and easy to do business with. We highly recommend them.

Placed an emergency call to Payless on a Friday afternoon after a renovation mistake drained our refrigerant line. They had someone over within a few hours, fixed the hole, filled with coolant, and had us up and running with no problems. It would have been a very painful weekend without AC and they really helped us out of a tight spot.

Great Service. Kept my old A/C unit going for several years past expiration date. Even resurected my Compressor after it was submerged under flood water. Bought complete A/C system in '21. DID ALL WORK IN 1 DAY and did not leave a mess.

There was a short power outage in our area 8/9/21, & it knocked out our AC & the thermostat control panel. We called at 5: 30 on a Sunday & our call was answered by a human! The gentlemen helped us reset everything at the outside unit & reset the thermostat panel all over the phone. So very grateful for his service.

I've used Payless for over 13 years, and as always they always answer and do whatever it takes take care of the customer. Our A/C went out, I called at 8: 30 PM and they were there by 9: 00 AM the next morning. There's not a lot of vendors that I have complete trust in, but Payless is certainly one of them. Use with confidence!

My parents have been customers for 18 years now, so I decided to give em a try. I recall my Mom telling me how honest these folks are. In one case, they could have upsold, taken advantage her, but instead replaced a capacitor for a $70 fix. In my case, the cooling stopped working in our new home (<2 yrs old). Even though it took a couple extra trips by their A/C techs to troubleshoot, replace part, test, and follow up, it was a single flat rate of $425. The owner Gary even called me afterwards to ensure the cooling issue was completely resolved.

Great father and son team. Super friendly. Very knowledgeable of TRANE central air systems. Was over $900 less than the quote I got from another competitor in the Houston/Pearland area. Will be using them in the future for any necessary repairs.

I have been a customer of Payless for more than a decade. They have always been reliable, professional, and have always done outstanding work. I would highly recommend using them.

We have used Payless for many years now to both install and fix our air-conditioning. We have always been very happy with the high level of customer service that we have received. Most recently we had a wiring issue that they spent a wealth of time trying to correct. Instead of charging us an enormous amount of money to change out unnecessary parts that I would have never known weren't broken, they went the extra mile to find the right problem and fix it to save us the money. They have definitely earned us as customers for life. It would be a mistake for anyone not to get them to bid on your future projects. This is a family business that definitely deserves our support.

Wow, Payless Cooling was on time, gave me plenty of options on replacement of my A/C, and I chose the Trane. The install was great and I didn't have a mess to clean up! Will recommend Payless to my neighbors.

Gary was a client of mine, then I needed ac work done. Noone else does our ac/heat stuff now. We had bad run ins with a warranty company and Gary fixed all the bad work they did. He is always fast and does what he says he's going to do.

Payless cooling came to my home at the same day. And got my A/C running quickly! Ryan was very polite and professional So will use them again.
