I came prepared and expected strict testing guidelines as the website clearly states. The checkin procedure with the man at the front desk was formal and strict, as expected, but not unkind.
Then, the proctor of the exam, Evelyn, went out of her way to be as rude and unhelpful as she possibly could. It seemed as if she was already angry at me when I first walked up. Because of her treatment, I was so stressed out when I began the test and even tried to put off taking a restroom break to avoid further interactions. At the end of my exam, I raised my hand as instructed to check out and she kept acting like I was asking her test questions. I explained I had submitted all test answers, the screen was blank, I in no way was asking her test questions… just if I was finished because I was instructed to do that at the end. She would not give me any instructions or directions. She just kept angrily repeating “how can I help you? ” while doing everything in her power to make it difficult instead. Wow! Just avoid her altogether. Go somewhere else. She was a good reminder of who I DO NOT want to emulate as a teacher.

The guy who was invigilating my exam obviously had other engagement so he found a reason to end my exam even before it started.he had my ID with my face and could see me on the camera clearly.that was the most unprofessional treatment I have every experienced and now I am being asked to pay again for an exam I did not even sit for.

With as much as I am paying to take this test, having an elderly black woman yell at me twice in the middle of my exam is not some thing I will stand for!

The lady who took me into the test room was rude and so unprofessional! And that the same African American lady in her 60s, she raised her voice at me for no reason! Why she still have a job after so many complains on her!

DON'T TAKE A TEST HERE! Hostile testing environment and no one seems to care that the testing administrator has had so many complaints.

Really professional staff, smooth check in. They were patient (at least at 8am) with everyone's pretest stress, including mine.
Not to discredit anyone else's review but I didn't see any of the rudeness others claim is pervasive. Maybe I got lucky, hard to say.

Please, if you can, go elsewhere. I should've read the reviews. After being made to feel so small by the test administrator, I said, "ma'am I am about to take a test and you're being rude" (I usually hold it in but ya'll she was just plain mean). The woman replied that I would know when she was rude because she would make me cry. Who says that? I ignored her as she went on about our personalities not matching (only thing I agreed with her on) and another lady took me in. No one should have to deal with that before taking something major, so I would suggest you choose a different center.

I am a Texas teacher of 12 years and have taken several certification exams over the years. This is THE WORST testing experience I have ever had! Find a different center! The testing admistrator named Evelyn was extremely mean to me. She yelled at me at the beginning and then was very rude the rest of the time. Her yelling caused me to start crying, with my mask on, which caused another problem I don't feel like mentioning. I really needed a tissue, but I was literally scared to ask for anything to take a bathroom break because I didn't want to deal with her again to reenter the exam. I am traumatized by this experience! Why in the world does this person have a job. As a teacher, when I give a test, I understand the importance of providing a safe environment. This lady does NOT understand that basic idea.

The elderly black woman who was the proctor made the already nerve racking experience a thousand times worse. Considering all the reviews, I don’t know how she’s still a proctor.

How does Evelyn still have a job? It isn't like finding someone else to proctor tests is that hard. Someone with her job needs to *enjoy interacting with people*. Testing center, did you know that your morale and stress level have a lot to do with how you perform on a high-stakes test? Yes? Then why would you find the biggest ***** in the DFW Metroplex to be a test administrator? Does your manager look at your online reviews? YIKES.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I went to take a test, since I was in the Dallas area at the time and was on a deadline to get the test taken. The woman at the front desk was slightly rude, but tolerable. The test proctor, and African American woman in her 60's, was HORRIBLE. She was extremely rude. She rolled her eyes at me multiple times and raised her voice at me, even though I was following her instructions. I was on the verge of tears before I had even started taking my test. Thank goodness I am a decent test taker. Otherwise, being so shaken could have lead to automatic failure. I have since been to other Pearson testing locations and have never once had an issue with such rude behavior. Although, admittedly, I feel a bit nervous every time I walk into a Pearson testing center because of the rudeness and borderline verbal abuse I experienced at this location. I strongly recommend using another testing site.

A front desk lady named “Johnson” was incredibly disrespectful. She was asking a visibly nervous ESL student to verify her information and proceeded to raise her voice and repeat instructions in such a condescending, inconvenienced way.

Her disgusting behavior seems to be consistent after reading the other reviews. Shame on you. Pearson, do better.

I have never been at this testing center so I cannot comment on them.
However, This post is about Pearson VUE company. No, Pearson VUE does not deserve a 1 star rating, however it is the lowest score I could give them. Notice the history of these reviews about the company and you will see that I am not the only one with negative experiences. I have tried to get accommodations and have done exactly what has been requested of me multiple times through fax and email but still no help. Each associate gives me different information and is contradicting. They are nice and friendly, however they are not properly trained. Because of this, they are not helpful. Maybe one out of every 100 knows what they are doing so you will have to be persistent to find that one in both Accommodations and Pearson VUE. Unfortunately the Supervisors are not any better. Actually they make the associates look good. It is time for the BBA to step in somehow to either revise or shutdown Pearson VUE. To let a business like this continue with so many negative reviews is unjust and a lack of integrity.

Keep 'em coming.

African American women in her late 50s early 60s was an absolute nightmare to deal with. She was rude. She raised her voice at me 3 times. Talked to me like I was a dog, worse than a dog. Although I was very polite and tried to follow instructions despite that fact that I was there to take a huge exam that will change my life and was nervous. So following directions was a little harder than usual. Still she could have had some compassion and shown a little bit more respect for her fellow human being. Very surprised that she is still employed. The other gentleman there made me take off my wedding ring but as I was going into the testing area, an Asian woman had been allowed to wear her wedding ring despite the fact that hers was actually bigger than mine. So yea horrible experience.
