Pengu Swim School - Houston Central

The instructors are nice and the kids like it for the most part, however, I’m generally unimpressed by their business practices. The 30day cancelation policy is a money grab. I should be able to cancel whenever I decide. Also, my daughter got a skin infection from the on deck bathroom requiring antibiotics.

Friendly staff. My daughter always has fun. We have been going for like 3 months and she’s made a lot of progress. The swim instructor talks to her in English and Spanish which I love.

We love Pengu Swim School! My little one has been swimming here since baby and me swim class, and she has learned so many swimming skills in our time here. The instructors and staff are so friendly and helpful. We recommend this place to everyone!

Both of my children attend Pengu swim school - one is a toddler and one is a baby. Both have had exceptional swimming experiences. They have had excellent instructors who have taught them basic water safety and comfort. I highly recommend!

Our two year old has been going to Pengu swim classes for a year now. He is so comfortable in the water and loves going to class! All of the teachers he has had have been fun and patient when helping him discover new skills in the water. Definitely recommend.

My children look forward coming to swimming school. My 13 year learned how to swim at Pengu and the classes have definitely payed off. He is a great swimmer and can enjoy being in a pool that’s deep and the waves at the beach. I now bring in my 2 toddlers for classes and they have fun while learning. I also like that the facility is always clean, the staff and instructors are friendly, and I can check my children’s swimming progress on the app.

We recently started swim lessons for the Baby 1 class and it’s been a great experience so far! We’ve been going consistently for about 6 weeks now and I can already see improvement. The constant routine each week has helped our 12 month old be more comfortable in the water. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking to start getting their little ones used to being in the water!

My daughter has been attending Pengu since she was 18 months old. She has loved all her instructors. They are very dedicated to their students and their growth. We are very happy with Pengu and highly recommend them.

We have been coming to Pengu since 2017 and absolutely love it! My daughter has progressed from Toddler all the way through the Advanced class and will be ready for swim team soon! Thank you Pengu for teaching her the critical skills she needs to stay safe in any water situation from baby to now. We love you!

My 7 year old loves Pengu Swim School! Great instructors and friendly staff! They have different class times to fr any busy schedule!

As a business that is supposed to exist to help prevent childhood drownings (#1 cause of death for children ages 1-4. Harris county leads the state in drownings, Texas leads the country in drownings), the “lifeguards” they employ are not even certified. According to their own staff, they are only “water watchers” and not able to perform any duties of that of a certified lifeguard. This business advertises and states they have Red Cross Certified lifeguards which is a blatant lie. Read the real reviews, do your research, and
protect your children at all costs

Awesome swim school for all ages! We have both our 4yo daughter & 6mo son in classes & only have good things to say about the staff & teachers!

We love this place! The staff is amazing, the location is perfect, and it’s so clean! We are looking forward to hosting a birthday party here too!

I am thankful we found Pengu! My two boys, who are 4 and 7, love this swim school. We go to the Garden Oaks location on Wakefield Dr. They’ve already become better swimmers just after about 3 months of lessons. The facility is super clean and the staff are amazing! Every staff member we’ve met has been kind, compassionate, patient and so helpful.
