7Having bragged about Pepe’s Tamales for years, even purchasing ten dozen to take back to Georgetown (TX), I thought all their tamales were great and would be great forever. This week that opinion has changed! Too much masa, dry, almost flavorless. I’m now on the lookout for a new place to buy tamales!

I bought some tamales this morning and they’re not like they used to be! These are pure masa and no meat

Had not been to Pepe's in a while simple menu with four kinds of Tamales the tamales are consistently good there
Oh One of our FAVORITE PLACES to visist when we come into town. Always looved it since I lived here. 10 dozens coming home with us!
Lived in El Paso 25yrs. Transfered to Central TX. Every time I go down I-10 I take Viscount take back a few dozen of the Pollo con Chile Verde. Thank you keep up the tradition.
Cheese tamales are very good however the red tamales aren’t worth it. The meat is all the way on the top everything else is pure corn (maza). Not worth the buy, The maza is so thick.
