This place is horrible. DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HERE. A staff member was refusing to let my son drink water in front of me i told her no my son is allowed water. Group therapy was only a work sheet. They would yell and cuss at the patiences. Staff would tell kids things you should never tell kids let alone those dealing with suicidal ideation. I could never get a hold of a doctor the whole time my son was there. Staff was rude and unprofessional. The house supervisor was trying her hardest not to talk to me. When I asked to speak with her. There was always fights when my son tried to tell me about a fight they made him hang up the phone and I wasn't able to talk to him again until the next day at visiting time which is only 30 minutes. While in the visit they had a staff member listening to everything we talked about and once I went back to the waiting room they yelled at my son for telling me what was going on. Forgot to mention they gave my son medicine he shouldn't have been taking. I had told three different people not to give it to him and yet they still did.

Unfortunately I have to give at least 1 star. Bummer! Very disappointed and disgusted! Not only did my child come home with a bunch of big unexplainable bruises she come home dirty and needless to say I had to call up there multiple times with complaints about kids bullying to a staff member threatening to put hands on her and a few days after being home she confessed to my sister in law and myself that one of the male staff members had touched her inappropriately of course my sister in law and I made a police report! If you plan to take your child to a behavioral health hospital I'd suggest seeking out a different one.

This place is an absolute nightmare! It is supposed to be a behavioral health hospital where they help children and adolescents overcome and learn how to cope with the mental health issues, however this place does none of that! They are An absolute prison for small children! My child was admitted for 3 days and I checked him out of there as fast as I could. With 3 days my child had been hit by other kids and held down by staff for not waking up when told to wake up. The doctors and staff here DO NOT communicate with parents and they change and remove medication without consent! This place used to be Sundance which was absolutely no better just because they changed the name doesn’t mean they improved anything! There is not enough space here for me to go into details that need to be said however the state will hopefully be after this facility soon! I could go on for days on the things wrong with this facility!

Not very happy with the way things went. No communication hardly, didnt have prescriptions ready or even sent out so we went days without meds after he just adjusted. No true eval to see what was going on to actually work on problems. It was a big bust for us. High hopes and didnt get much.

Edited today 12/18/23… I will be happy to contact the facility at the email address below. I will be shocked if I get a call back or response. I will update this review once if I am able to talk with someone. Kelly

My son was sent here my Camp Worth for more care “they said” due to his behaviors there. I was told it was only supposed to be a couple of days. After being sent here in the middle of the night by camp worth, camp worth then “closed down for residential treatment” which was actually where we had placed our son to begin with. So after days of not hearing anything from anyone as well as the “Dr” that I never once spoke to or to my son jacked up all his meds, I finally was able to get a hold of someone. Eventually had to force them to let me take him out since they had no reason to keep him…long story short have also been trying to get my son into another RTC for help and trying to get clinical records from them has been an absolute joke. Been going on almost 4 weeks now. I’m starting to think it’s because they probably don’t have any, just an assumption from our brief time of dealing with this facility that they probably are no great on record keeping cause his discharge paperwork was a joke and not a whole lot was even correct on it. Even his medication wasn’t listed correctly and took him off of meds they said they would keep him on and then changed the meds I said were the only ones that seemed to have worked for him. Cause obviously a Dr who has never even met my child knows more than his psychiatrist at home that has known him for years… seriously wouldn’t bring my kid here and unfortunately it wasn’t my choice but I am glad I was able to get him out within about 6 days. Unfortunately there seems to be no decent mental healthcare facilities for children/adolescents or adults for that matter in our country… if anyone knows of one let me know. It sucks cause our kids need help and we are trying to get it and we can’t! Only positive thing I wanted to note was the chef. She was amazing and went above and beyond to make sure my son with a special diet was taken care of and well fed!

It was okay, the staff could be kind and then completely switch up their behavior with the patients. And my main problem was with my peers. There was so many fights and it happened to be quite triggering for me.

Absolutely disgusting trashy place! I picked up our 9 year old. She didnt shower the entire 8 days she was there. Her hair was so matted and she wore shorts out in 30 degree weather. Her clothes were filthy! They took her off all 3 of her meds cold turkey and put her on just 1 that i told them doesn't work. I called daily and left multiple messages and doctor would never call me back. I said i wasnt comfortable her discharging until shes back on her regular meds for her adhd, dmdd and Odd. Never got a return call. She never saw a therapist the entire time there except for our 10 minute 'family session'. She told them multiple times she needed to see a therapist because her thoughts were getting worse and they wouldn't listen. She visibly lost weight. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILD HERE! She has been here over a year ago and it was good.but not anymore! I took pics and documented everything. I will be taking this much further.

The 5 star recent reviews are suspect. They all reviewed this place and a credit union in California. I suspect they hired a marketing firm to give positive reviews.

My son was at this place and they refused to give him his antibiotic shot that was ordered twice weekly from home.

***0 STARS*** I never take the time to write a review like ever but lord. I had to on this one.
I just picked up my 11year old daughter from this trashy place, after 4days of being there.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILD TO THIS PLACE!

I wouldn't even take my dog. All the people that claim to work there are rude! They will threaten your child. When you're on the phone with your child if they cry, the people get upset and threaten your child! Like.ummm it's like a prison for kids! LITERALLY.
WORST MISTAKE WAS LEAVING MY CHILD THERE! The little ones? Get spanked by those horrible people in there. WHO IN THE WORLD FEELS SO COMFORTABLE ENOUGH TO PUT THERE EVIL HANDS ON ANOTHER'S CHILD? It's insane how bad this place is. Oh! && the "administration lady" will "ASSURE YOU" until she's blue in the face that you're child is safe and blah blah blah. Well. She's definitely a LIAR!
Also, those people hate their job so you can only imagine how they take it out on those poor kids. NEVER AGAIN! PLEASE DON'T TAKE YOUR CHILD TO THIS PLACE. They do not care about the patients at all. They are there to collect their paychecks. To do NOTHING! ***0 STARS***

Traumatizing, don’t send your kid here. You don’t talk to any therapist here and the staff basically don’t care about anything.

If negative stars could be given here they would. Our child attemtped suicide over 4 months ago. They were taken two JPS and then shipped out to Perimeter. At intake our kiddos was assaulted by another girl and verbally abused. They were left in the intake room for 8 1/2 hours - they brought a sandwich and a small cup of water and that was at for the full duration in that holding room. They were there for 6 days and we fought everyday to get them out. Fights were a constant. Their roommates while there were combative and started fights constantly. They tried to help a girl who got punched and knocked to the floor and my kiddo was assaulted by staff. They would not give them water, they over medicated our child, the staff verbally abused our child. When I finally reported them to the state and threatened Arlington police involvement, miraculously they released her that day. I spoke with the marketing director and one of the lead therapists and both agreed that the place was out of control and serious changes needed to be made. They assured me THEY were filing a report with the state as well for a review of the facility. On visitation day, the day before our child was released (and when we knew we had to pull them out) we watched staff snicker and whisper and make fun of all of us being there. That night when staff found out we weren't happy, they retaliated and threatened our child with solitary and told them they would call the police and make up phony charges to get a record started on them. Children with behavioral isses and serious addiction issues need to be placed apart from the children with fragile mental health issues. This place needs to be closed down and they need to hire staff that actually cares about human life, not ones that completely discount the need for nurturing and basic human rights. Luckily we were able to transfer our child to a better facility, but Perimeter made sure to drag their feet, lie to us, and push back on our efforts to obtain medical records and transfer paper work. The facility broke ALL HIPPA laws by send us an email with another patient's full diagnosis with all of her family's information. They made one too many mistakes for what they are supposed to be doing out there. If you told me it was a hub for human trafficing I would not in the least bit be surprised. Unfortunately thevstate does nothing because mental health facilities need to exist, but they need to be tougher on gross misconduct and places where children are just cattle waiting to be lead to slaughter. DO YOUR CHILDREN A FAVOR AND KEEP THEM OUT OF THIS HELLISH PLACE - THEY MAKE DOCUMENTARIES ABOUT PLACES LIKE THIS AND THE PEOPLE THAT RUN/WORK AT THEM. Take a breath, do your research, and make sure you find your child a good place to go to recover.

I was a patient at this hospital after I was at JPS for a good 3 days. The front desk seemed nice but as soon as i got took to the back and was with the techs and nurses it was something else. They were very rude they do not care about the us and how we are really doing. A lot of cussing and bad language come from the own techs. It’s a very unprofessional place. When I was there a death girl had came to placement and ofc she couldn’t speak so she would kind of make noises when she was sad or didn’t want to be somewhere one of the techs mimicked her back the noise she made infront of all the other kids this happened in gym on my last day I was there. Do not remember the tech’s name but her name started with an A I believe something like “ Arthurisa “ Fights happen everyday and the techs just brush it off. I had a friend there who didn’t even start a fighting she was hit by another girl and the techs slammed her on the floor and a guy tech came holding her down as well while they pushed her head on the floor they gave her a shot and put her in a cold room. When I got to see her again she had bruises all over her arms from how bad she was being held down. Mind you the other girl who ran up to her and hit her did not get in trouble at all.they had me isolated for 2 days straight from 7am to 10 in my room all day along could not even be around anybody because they got my paper work wrong and thought I was sick even tho i continuously told them I wasn’t sick.

I had to ask, (I Quote:) “Excuse me, but when I walked up the driveway, the sign out front did say Perimeter "BEHAVIORAL" Hospital of Arlington, did it not? "

I was then told, point blank TWICE by the therapist…
(and I quote again)

”WE DON’T DO BEHAVIORAL THERAPY HERE. ”

They were releasing my nonviolent child (again) ENTIRELY TOO EARLY (before we had a long term care facility lined up to send them to) and under concerned protest by my child’s mother, my insurance company and myself.for the THIRD TIME IN THE PAST MONTH.

They had absolutely no reason to give me for releasing my child early.

You see, each time before when my child was "prematurely released" from there (without reason, and WITH authorization for further stay by my insurance company) my child completely melted down, within mere hours… requiring our "local emergency room" (and then re-admission at Perimeter) for their safety.

It's clear, “THEY DO NOT DO BEHAVIORAL THERAPY THERE. ”

Oh but wait there’s more!

My insurance company liaison, who has been feverishly working to find a long term care placement for our child, was "livid" at Perimeter for “REPEATEDLY DELAYING MY CHILDS CARE”. They withheld "clinicals" to other long term care facilities, to evaluate if they could accept them as a patient or not.

When CAUGHT RED HANDED, not sending them… They used an excuse for their negligence, claiming that these other centers (they were asked to send them to) were "not in our network". When in fact THEY ALL WERE!

In my objective opinion, based on multiple, repeated failures, "at and directly caused by Perimeter"… This place has proven to me to be a world class dump, of the highest order.

I pray they go bankrupt or just get shut down. It is my position that they have no right to exist at all.
