Very cool place to take the family but I definitely wouldn’t go often. The last time I was here was several years ago for the king tut exhibit.

I will start with the positives: parking was easy and affordable ($10). Nursing room located on lower level children’s museum. Bathrooms on each floor with changing table. Plenty of benches and sitting areas for tired visitors. Outdoor areas are nice. Lots of information to cover and soak in as well as interactive opportunities for both adults and kids.

On to the negatives: everything is overpriced but I suppose that’s to be expected. Wished the Pixar exhibit pricing was included with GA ticket or priced lower per person. Cafe doesn’t have enough chairs and tables for high volume diners. Food was pretty mediocre. Children’s “museum” was a hot mess and more of an indoor playground. Did not let my baby explore that area sadly due to so many children running around.

I was also a bit puzzled that there wasn’t an elevator or ramp to take to the top level above the dinosaur exhibit on the 4th floor, unless I was missing something? On a Saturday afternoon it was busy, crowded, and chaotic. It was hard to move strollers and walk past so many people to enjoy the full museum experience and see everything.

I’d recommend coming on a less busier day and also purchasing tickets beforehand online to avoid the line. We spent 2.5 to 3 hours overall which I felt was plenty of time to cover all grounds and wish we could’ve stayed a tad longer to check out some of the spots we couldn’t gain access to. Def wouldn’t mind revisiting in the future after remodeling or when there’s a next special exhibit!

Perfect age for this museum is 11-14, but I would probably not go back willingly.
THE GOOD: 2 of the five/six floors were quality education, entertaining and hands on fun. Enjoyed the earthquake simulator and the sports area.
THE BAD: Our group of four went specifically for the Pixar experience. We bought our tickets, proceeded to do the full museum and when we got to the Pixar door we were were told entrance was an extra $12 per person. Seeing as how we were severely disappointed by the museum as a whole, we decided against paying more for what could end up as a disappointment as well. Nowhere when we purchased our tickets did it say Pixar was an add on, nor did the ticket seller tell us about this. It's not as if it was busy that she didn't have the time to inform us, see pic attached. Parking lot adjacent to museum was closed off, parking across the street was $10, but crossing Broom St.required a prayer!
THE UGLY: Half of the hands on stuff was broken, not currently functioning or closed off. Bathrooms that were open (some were closed for remodel or fixing, were DISGUSTING). We arrived at 3: 30 p.m. And it felt as if they hadn't cleaned them all day. By 4 p.m, cleaning crews had begun to bring out their equipment and had begun cleaning the museum area, they should have started with the bathrooms. I am not kidding when I thought a vacuum was part of the engineering experience, only to realize that it was left out to begin vacuuming.

Personal Observation: $25 for adult entry is a lot for the quality of museum. I had been wanting to visit since moving here in 2019 and it's easily been the biggest let down. I do not have a problem paying this price for museum, Frost Science in Miami is around this range and that museum is leaps and bounds far, FAR better than Perot.

What a fun day, great museum tons of exhibits and interactive activities along the way. I didn't think my teens would have as much fun they didn't want to leave! In my opinion, the Texus Instrument exhibit was by far the best!

Recommendation - we purchased the core membership - 10% discount at the gift shop and Café, unlimited entry for 1 year, plus access to other museums as well.

Had a great experience with my family. I have a 6 year old and 1 year old. Do recommend bringing your own baby scrollers and some water bottles. Paid $10 for parking, located around the front entrance with a little bit of a walk. Hidden gem, @ LL, there is a kids's play area. Safe for toddlers. I recommend going early as they open. Fee admission for teachers and hospital workers.

Family fun! The museum has so many different levels to learn all types of things. Kids really enjoyed the dinosaur and Pixar exhibit. I appreciated that they had a nursing room located on the child's play museum area. Will definitely be returning! Also if you have government assistance you will get in for $1 a person.

We usually go there for field trips with the kids. The best part about the Perot, a lot of the activities are durable and very kid friendly. As an adult I have a lot of fun every time I go. Great place to take the kids on school breaks.

Awesome museum! Very interactive and interesting exhibits for all ages. Got a City Pass and it came with a free 3D movie ticket as well. Staff was very friendly and the lunch options onsite were yummy and weren’t too expensive. Would definitely go back as there was so much to see!

This was my first time visiting Perot Museum. OMG, it is beautiful in there! My neighbor invited my grandchildren along with her granddaughter for a few hours of exploration. A couple of displays were not working, which made the interaction difficult. This place is huge and will take a couple of trips just to visit each floor. But, the time was worth it. My family could not stop chatting about the birds activity, which we could not complete due to a couple of machines being down. The universe displays dinosaur displays, the rocks and minerals, and the big interactions for weather and natural disasters. There was so much we explored that you will have to go! I intend to visit again soon just to complete the other levels. The kids will enjoy all of it. Happy exploring

This is a good museum/do-seum for kids. 3.5 stars.

A little pricey. Was $160 or so for 4 adults and 4 kids. The museum itself is fairly small. It’s like 3 or 4 floors and all are a little small. Easy to get through. The exhibits are mostly very new looking and interesting. They have some stuff on humans and the body, minerals, dinosaurs, fossils, energy, etc.all good topics. I thought the rocks and minerals was pretty good. Don’t feel like I see a lot of that at museums. We went on a somewhat wet summer day, and maybe that’s why the place was fairly overrun. When we left around 12, it was pretty crowded. There was basically no seating for us in the cafe or outside. Beautiful grounds and gorgeous building. Parking is $10. Not bad, but should be free given the tickets or just build it into the ticket price, don’t nickel and dime us. The gift shop was overpriced and there was very little unique about it. Even spotted stuff there we saw a few weeks earlier at the Boston Science museum.

I had my wedding here July 2nd 2023. It was amazing! Jessica and Andi were fantastic. They helped us get everything organized, so there were no last minute surprises or questions. The event went so smoothly, it felt like it was over in the blink of an eye. I'm so glad that I found out the Perot Museum hosted events from some obscure online article! The photographer isn't done editing all the photos yet, but I'm so excited about seeing the rest of them soon!

My husband and I came for the first time to Thursdays On Tap and Tauvy I think his name was, made the whole night! His voice is amazing, the music was engaging, and having it playing not only INSIDE the museum but also loud enough to enjoy at the food trucks was perfect. I’m going to follow the Perot on social now so every time he’s there I can come back with everyone I know. 10/10 can’t wait for his next night.

It is an excellent place for children and adults! You learn and teach while having fun! The science area is the busiest and most interactive, they have improved it a lot! The lab with the microscopes is great for kids!

This was an amazing museum. I went with my young grand nephew and family. He’s just under 2. I could have spent many many more hours did than we did. There are so many things to see. We all had a great time from under 2 to over 75. After about 3 hours it was a bit much for the 2 yo. There are many other things I would like to see. Tons of interactive attractions for adults and kids. The table with the elevation was super cool. As the “land” was moved around it would update the elevation map so red for higher. The escalator that lets you see downtown Dallas was great to go up. Tons of fossils of dinosaurs.

Great place for Kids. The Dinosaur floor was amazing, was very exciting for the kids along with the space enclosure. The sports section wasn’t great though. Overall, kids had a lot of fun and would want come again.

They have some really cool things to see I loved seeing the live fossil cleaning and all of the very old fossils they have and seeing how animals evolved. The short 3D movie was really fun to watch also. There are 6 floors total (including LL and 4M) and each have different themes. The very top floor that’s the birds is floor 4M and the button is separate and kind of hidden in the inner wall to the side the the elevator door so it took me a second to figure it out and I had to show other people. But it’s not a boring museum at all I had fun!

Affordable for all the things you get to see! We did not pay for the extra Pixar exhibit and spent almost 5 hrs there. The cafeteria needs to be remodeled to allow for an easier flow of customers, and the food was very expensive.
