Petco, Longview TX

I wanted to purchase a mushroom scratcher here. The lady at the front was quite rude when I told her the price said $23.99 where I got it. She tried to make it seem like my fault that I didn't check the name on the shelf (which was not a very specific name anyway). I went back to see where I found it (there were two more mushroom scratchers btw, so why would I question if it was in the right place or not, that's on whoever stocked it for misleading customers), and there was no $44.99 scratcher in the aisle I was looking in. I went over to the next aisle where there were other scratchers and found a place for a $44.99 scratcher, but it didn't say "mushroom" or anything. I'm not arguing the price, I understand if it's more expensive than I thought. I was unhappy with the service though since it felt like she had an attitude with me. If she was even like "oh, sorry, it must've been put in the wrong spot" that would've been fine. Idk, the gentleman who was cashier last time was also not very friendly. Basically, their prices are way too high for their service to be poor. Won't be shopping here anymore. Prices are better at Chewy, TJ Maxx, and Amazon anyways (If the manager sees this, I moved the mushroom scratchers to a spot that reflected their price, not sure if it was the right spot but hopefully it helps customers not get their hopes up).

It's always a decent or good experience with employees and buying from this location. Cleaned and pets usually are healthy and happy. Betta fish are usually ignored, though

Did not have any employees speak to me while I was in the store. When I got to the register, the cashier did not even realize I was holding out money for her. She was too busy on her phone, just like when I first walked up to the register. Seems like none of the employees were interested in their customers that day.

They do the job but if I only ask for a haircut and that says $59+ tax, please do ONLY THAT PLEASE!

The fact that they now charge for bags is astonishing. The products are already over priced and you have the audacity to add a bag charge? The products that are bought from the vendors are cheap and the company hikes up the prices at least 50%. Like are you kidding me? Whoever approved that should be terminated. You are so money hungry that you charge people for bags!

Always poor service, but today's was absurd. Four employees in the store, all either having personal conversations with friends or talking on the cellphone. Any attempt to ask for assistance got the one moment finger and ignored.
I'm done. PetSmart will be my store now.

First time ever at this Petco and I had to leave a review for Memory, the sweet sales associate who helped me out and answered every question I had today. There were a few associates on the floor but after I had spoken to one of them (she was very rude and didn’t bother helping me with anything at all— twice!), I walked up to the front and asked Memory if she could help me. She was the only cashier, yet she left her spot to show me everything I would need for a new pet my household had just acquired. After customers started showing up to the front to be checked out, she left me in the reptile aisle only to quickly come back after checking them out to continue helping me with anything else I could possibly need. She really went above and beyond today and I appreciate it more than she will probably ever know. Thanks so much again Memory! She needs a raise!

Has everything you need for your pets. Some items are more expensive than going to Walmart but overall we like going in there for the variety of items. Also has fish, snakes, rats, ferrets, cats, hamsters and other animals for purchase. My kids love looking at the animals so that's a plus visiting there.

Great place for most of your needs for your pets, bit pricey but it has so many adminities. Grooming, pet training classes, etc

I have 5 Bengal cats in my home. Cat litter is an important part of everyday life. They were able to supply bulk quantities at a reasonable price.

Horrible service. Went in there looking for an item for a cat. Found the one guy working there and asked him if they stocked such an item. He appeared to be inconvenienced and huffed "I don't know. Look in the cat stuff isle" and went about his business next to the register. I found what I needed and went to the register and stood there. I had to ask him to ring me up. This dude was a total diva.

We do love our Longview Petco.
The staff is above and beyond.

Love the friendliness of the employees everyone is very helpful. I am a regular customer and I always get help. I have bought 3 scaley babies from petco and I am happy with choosing this place.

Dottie at the register was kind. Hallie was a superstar not hesitant to lift heavy dog food for me when I asked. Not in the store and later loading in my car

Several dead fish and a bleeding gerbil from the behind.no one came to assess when it was mentioned.

Not what it used to be. Employee moral is not the same. I don't think this location will be there much longer. It feels like they are on the verge of closing down when you are in the store.

They had everything a pet owner could ask for without the hassle of trying to beat a rush of customers.

Every fish I get from here dies. I have over 300 fish in multiple aquariums and buy fish from 2 other sources. All my fish run healthy lives except the fish from petco, they last a week tops. There are dead fish in all petcos aquariums. Please don't buy fish from here go to petsmart or wet pets. You can tell they take care of the fish better. Just go see for yourself. Petco please fix this
