Pete's Dueling Piano Bar reviews
21I had a blast at this place! The musicians are talented and funny. Loved the audience participation!
This was our spot for the first night and stayed till almost closing. Me and my wife had so much fun we didnt wanna leave.
Definitely had a great time and enjoyed myself for my bachelorette party. Pretty chilled environment but fun at the same time
Had never been to a dueling piano bar before and had a hell of a time showing my parents around Austin and ending the night here and at Friends (also a great spot on 6th)
Awesome talent on the stage. Small cover of 7 to get in on Sunday. Totally worth it. Even with a smaller crowd the performers were at 100%. Taking requests and interacting with the audience. The best place for LIVE music on 6th. Range of genres from rock, country, pop and some surprises as well. Such a good night out.
We were in town for a motogp race, and while hanging out in town decided to stop in to this place. We've seen a few dueling piano joints before so had an idea of what to expect, but these guys were a couple steps above anything I've seen before. I wish I knew thier names, but all 4 switched seemlessly between instruments, musical genres, singing, rapping, you name it. One guy did a version of in the air tonight from Phil Collins that gave me chills. When you go, tip accordingly, and don't request the same tired old songs that everyone always requests. Request something a little out in left field. They'll like that, and give a little extra when playing it.
Oh yeah. Drinks were huge. Little watered down, but at that size they needed to be
A bit rowdy, but that's half the fun. The available seating leaves a bit to be desired but it's a fun place.
Wonderful talent. Nice bar. Had fun. Put in a song and paid 5 dollars for them to play a song (plus a 5 dollar cover which was well worth the talent). Then the jerk started to play our song after 1 hour of waiting (the only had 15 people int he bar, it wasn’t that busy) and then was on the wrong chord, and stopped and said “we are all adults, no one one wants us to play (my song) ”. “I wont play this song if someone pays me 6 dollars! ” Some white drunk man got up and paid six dollars and asked for him to play a rap song. Then we had to hear the white old man try to do rap. It was rude. It was annoying they didn’t know the song so made fun of my song choice instead of playing something similar- like they had done for others. (FYI the song I picked was on top 20 for “dueling piano songs).
Best piano bar I've ever been too. I've been to quite a few around the country and the famous Patty Os in NOLA. This is by far the best one. They were not just playing the classic piano bar songs by Elton John and Billy Joel, I actually heard none of that. They played everything you wouldn't expect to find in a piano bar (Bob Marly and Spice Girls).
Pete's is always a fun night out of classics that get the crowd going. Very entertaining and talented artists.
This place was the most fun I've ever had at a bar! The atmosphere is incredible. The drinks are pretty pricey if you get any of their signature ones but that's to be expected. There's a cover charge as well, but if you're looking for a unique experience, it's worth it!
Loved this bar! Definitely a must do for anyone visiting. The band was spectacular and played a wide variety of music. There was lots of bar staff and girls walking around with jello shots. If you want to have a table on the main floor you must make a reservation otherwise just stop in.
I have never been to Pete's and have had a bad time. Always great entertainment and top notch talent plays here. Don't let the cover scare you away!
Fantastic drinks and AMAZING music! Great atmosphere and REALLY looking forward to stopping by the next time I'm down in Austin.
Very good. Bring ear plugs. It gets loud as the crowd builds. Make table reservations. Very popular.
$12 cover charge per person is a little ridiculous, and drinks were expensive. But very entertaining musicians. Could definitely spend the evening there just for the show they put on.
Always a great time to be had if you enjoy a good sing along. Our server was extremely sweet and the performers were on point. Loved it!
Highly entertaining and the drink prices we're great. The cover was a little steep, but worth the entry as long as you're staying for awhile.
Arguably the busiest and most crowd inclusive fun I've ever experienced at a piano bar in the United States.
Passed by with no intention of going in. Piano bar. Eh no thanks. Was I wrong. Brilliant night. Place was heaving and it was only a Tuesday. Great music and great musicians. Hadn't ever been to a deuling piano bar. Concept is just great. Must go-to place noe when in Austin. Definately worth a visit
