I was unbelievably impressed with Dr. Thu Do.

I've been having dentist fill-in chips to my four front teeth, which I broke as a child,  over the last 25 years. Dr. Do was the first to recommend crowns for a more permanent solution, but also explained the aesthetic benefits of closing my gap, bite-management and more. I couldn't be more pleased at the attention to detail and explanations of what she was doing and why throughout the procedure.

I highly recommend Dr. Do to anyone who is looking for a dentist who has not only mastered the craft, but is not afraid to offer real feedback on permanent dental health and aesthetic solutions!

Lyon was very thorough in his cleaning with me today! Used a variety of scrapping techniques to fully clean my teeth. Also had some great advice on keeping dental health over time.

Lyon provided top dental care and answered questions with oral hygiene preventative care. Dr. Patel and her staff are professional and provide great care.

I’m giving this place 1 star because of the front desk staff and assistants. I went in 1/23 due to tooth pain, I seen Dr. Do who literally was awful. She had more conversation with the assistant then she did me and not to mention she stereotypes me and tells the assistant that “I’m unsure if she’ll be able to finance twice for her surgery” for one I have insurance and what an odd thing to say about someone who is in the same room. She didn’t even bother to ask she just assumed I was an uninsured black woman. Dr. Do was very rushed I told her that I was in a lot of pain and she still proceeds to be rough while examining my mouth. She didn’t even acknowledge what I told her and then failed to put my prescription in before working on another patient. She was just awful, rude and racist. Now I needed to get my tooth pulled because it was really infected, I hoped that the surgeon would be different but he was the same as Dr. Do. Dr. Kulkarni, was fast and efficient but his bedside manner was TERRIBLE. Once again I feel like if I was another race I would have been treated differently! Dr. Kulkarni spent much of his time talking with the assistants, he didn’t even bother to introduce himself before diving into my mouth. This whole experience with this place has caused so much trauma. I would never come back!

I cannot recommend this office. I've been coming here for 8 or 9 years. I generally see a different dentist every time because the staff turnover is very high. However, I have no dental concerns so never worried about it much as I'm only here for cleanings/x-rays. Today, I saw Dr. Do for the first time. Her bedside manner is very abrupt and there were multiple times I had to hold up my hand to stop her, as my face was literally being pinched and tools were jammed into my gums. When I did stop her, she never acknowledged what I said although she did move her tools, etc. I've been going to bi-annual cleanings my entire life and have never left from a basic cleaning with my gums sore as they are today. The hygienist, while more friendly, was also really sloppy and it just overall wasn't a good experience that I'd be willing to repeat.

Today I had my 6 month cleaning at Pflugerville Modern Dentistry, and Lyon is always the one doing my cleaning, and what a fantastic job he does for my teeth cleaning. Thank you so much Lyon for taking time and patience with me. Keep up great job, and I see you in 6 months.

Get a second opinion if you go here, thankfully I did as some of the work they wanted to do was not needed per another dentist, they immediately try to up sale on everything, you are only a billable insurance card not a patient. The doctor I saw should have her license taken away, this place doesn't even deserve one star.

I wish I had stopped coming here sooner. I would be assigned a new dentist at every visit and none of them seemed caring. The billing process was always aggressive. I’ve been to better dentists in the past but kept coming here because it was close by and took my insurance.

I had an amazing experience! I'm extremely scared to go to the dentist I hadn't been to one for years, so I was terrified. All of the staff was very understanding and the dental hygienist was gentle, patient and understanding. He checked in throughout the process and he listened to me which calmed me down. Everything that needed to be done was completed on the same day it was diagnosed. I had a deep cleaning and a crown removal with a new crown made and placed on. I will definitely go back and recommend this location to everyone I know.

Dr. Hoskins has left the practice. The new dentist I was assigned without my knowledge spent less than 3 minutes introducing herself or discussing my treatments or recommendations. I was pushed towards an aggressive (every 4 months cleaning schedule) as opposed to 6-12 months and told that insurance would cover it. Insurance did not in fact cover the third and I was hit with a surprise bill. As other 1 star reviews mention they also pressed me to go with aggressive and expensive procedures that my prior dentist of 25 years who returned had not once recommended.

I have spoken with front desk staff twice requesting that a manager follow-up with me and have never heard from them. I have paid the balance and cancelled all further appointments with this practice and will be seeking a new practice. I feel they are more focused on cranking out as many billable procedures as possible than actual patient needs at this point. I would not recommend them any longer.

Dr. Hoskins and Xavier were excellent. Both were friendly and attentive to my needs. Front desk staff were great as well.

I've been coming here since for at least 10 years and after a filling repair in April that came loose they are stating that another filling on the same tooth is the problem.

I specifically remember the previous visit where they told me the filling that broke off was worn out and needed replacement.

Now they want to charge me again for a repair that I paid for 8 months ago.

I don't appreciate the unwillingness to do what is right.

I recommend people avoid this unethical business at all costs - it is strictly a business, not a care provider. I scheduled a routine annual checkup as a new patient. I'm not a young man, and my teeth aren't perfect, but I've taken good care of them. I expected the usual: intake, X-rays, checkup & cleaning. What I got was an immediate hard upsell for unnecessary work. After intake and X-rays, the dentist, Dr Do, came into the exam room, looked at the monitor where my X-rays were displayed & pointed out a couple of areas that indicated plaque build up that would require a "root scaling and planing". She did not sit down, did not look in my mouth, and literally spent about a minute and a half in the exam room before a tech came in & started poking around my gums. I did not see the actual dentist again. After the guy records some numbers, he of course tells me I need a root scaling and planing. I said just clean my teeth & we're good. That wasn't an option, apparently. After about 15 more minutes waiting, another staff member comes in & shows me 2 pages of calculations showing I need $3,000+ in work, but because of my insurance, they'll do the "deep cleaning" for a bargain at $800 out of pocket. Again, my teeth are in pretty good shape, but I do remember a dental office in Austin like 25 years ago was running the same scam - root scaling and planing as a forgone determination. I've not had a single dentist recommend this procedure since. I find it unethical and blatantly corrupt to advise patients they need unnecessary procedures, especially when the dentist didn't even do an examination.
And I see from other reviews, the pat response from this business is to call them to resolve any issues - don't bother, I'm not calling.

I been going to Pflugerville modern dentistry for over 3 years now. I always great a great treatment! Super nice and friendly staff.

Lyon is the most thorough dental hygenist and gets all the stains off, too. I've used his services for 3 years. I gave 4 stars because I dislike them encouraging me to buy additional services.
