Had a great time fishing with Phil. Contacted him on short notice during my kids spring break. He fit us in for a next day trip and we slayed the white bass and crappie on Grapevine. He was very good at teaching technique and was always there to take the fish off and help with snags. We caught about 70 fish in total and had action for 4 solid hours. Phill’s guide service is the service you want to use for an amazing fishing experience. Phill is knowledgeable, friendly, down to earth and he makes sure everyone is comfortable! My husband book this excursion for our anniversary and it was beyond all of my expectations. When we caught our 3rd fish I was already impressed by our 25th I just couldn’t believe it!

Phil is the consummate server. He mans the boat, baits the hooks, removes the fish from your hook and at the end he cleans and filets the fish for you to bring home.
He is excellent at putting you on fish and at instructing you how to catch with the rig he has prepared for you. He even has an underwater camera to let you know to expect a strike.

If you are looking for a guide service, or never used one before you must try Phill’s. When we talked he asked what I was interested in catching. I told him I just wanted my young grandson to catch fish, not particular on which species. That was all Phill needed. He kept us busy catching fish. If it slowed at all he moved to a new location and it started all over again. Had an amazing day and Phill is a delight. Will definitely do this again.
