Pho Bistro reviews
12Amazing pho! Cutest little Vietnamese spot. Feels like home. Had to try this place twice while on our trip. Really big portion as well!
Ordered a large pho with beef. Tasted excellent, but as another reviewer mentioned I would have enjoyed a bit more meat. Also somewhat small dish of sprouts/cilantro to put into bowl, and no basil which I’m used to seeing included.
Also had the crab and cheese wontons but was disappointed in the amount of crab/cheese in them. And had the egg rolls, which were all right. The pho is what would bring me back, though.
The server was very attentive and kind, excellent service.
The atmosphere makes it a bit of a hole in the wall, which is too bad because I’d like to take my son’s girlfriend out for pho as our first time meeting her, but I’d like to make a better impression than this setting.
The best Pho restaurant hands down!
Great service, great menu and food selection. Service was A+. Very well priced.
The 5 spice was excessive and way over powered the broth. Broth didn't taste like it was scratch made - no depth of flavor.noodles were not good either.
Got a beef bahn mi, one of my old stand-bys. It was good but a little burnt. And no jalapeño, which is baffling. For the price compared to the quality of food, its OK at best.
Get the soup and ask for chili oil. Two if you can handle a little more spice. It will make the soup 25% better and the soup without it is still good!
Originally I came here for the Pho, which was DELICIOUS; But, I keep coming back for the grilled pork sandwich! Honestly I was drooling checking out everything that came out of the kitchen! And the large servings are well worth the price (2 sodas, shared app, and 2 entries for 33 dollars). This vietnamese restaurant isn't all that special just looking at it (chipped dishware, dated decor) but don't judge a book by its cover you'll get friendly service and some tasty eats!
Way too expensive the food is not authentic. Don’t get the Thai iced tea worst Thai food I’ve had in El Paso.
We went yesterday and are still talking about our experience today. Even though it was just one guy doing everything, we got quick service from a very kind waiter. Received our food pretty quickly and loved the large portions. The food is some of the best Pho we've ever had. Will definitely be back.
I am shocked at all the good reviews. The pho was inedible. The broth was weird. It tasted like there was soap water in it and at the same time had a very watered-down flavor, meaning they did not use enough beef and bones when making it. They over did it with the star anise and cloves but didn't put enough fish sauce and rock sugar. It was an interesting combination that yielded an awful result. I lived in San Diego for many years, half of my family is Vietnamese, and I myself make pho. I have never had a worse bowl of pho in my life. I can only think that the great reviews were from people who don't know what pho is supposed to taste like. Or I was actually served a bowl with soap water mixed into their pho, which I really hope was not the case.
The one pro of this place is the nice server. Very polite and attentive. I didn't have the heart to tell him how awful the pho was. I would've given this place 1 star, otherwise. Maybe their other types of dishes are more their strong suit, I'm not sure. This was my first time trying Vietnamese food in El Paso. Unfortunately, I will not be returning.
Absolutely delicious! This is our second time dining here and the food is absolutely delicious. We order our pho with charbroiled pork, just the way we like it and the flavor is on-point. The service is wonderful too!
The springs roll with pork will make you smile and are a great sized app!
