Pho Hai Van / Phở Hải Vân reviews
12Intentionally charged more money, arbitrarily added more food. My bill was only 23$ but they added more and made me pay 34$ total
This place is authentic. Food comes out quickly and is prepared well. Price points are extremely reasonable. I got the egg rolls, B2, and the plum salty club soda. Will definitely be back.
This place has really great pho and spring rolls. Some of the best Vietnamese food I’ve had on the south side of Houston so far. I enjoy the atmosphere and the ambience as well. The service is fast but the servers are definitely not particularly friendly. This is still one of my favorite spots
I enjoy the pho and the rice dishes. The portion sizes are pretty good. My wife really enjoys k5: beef stew with rice. The bean pudding isn't exactly pudding and is an acquired taste. You may not like it if you're not used to Asian desserts. Vibe is good overall. Chill Asian pop music. Old Jackie Chan movie playing with no sound but it has subtitles.
Very bad, the owner named Van exploits and squeezes Vietnamese employees in all aspects. Tips are also taken and not returned… is that why my husband hates to follow other people…. If you go to a restaurant, please don't give tips just to enrich the crooks….
Being completely honest … food is great but the service is horrible! I went in tonight and if I didn’t tell someone from the kitchen that took a plate to another table that nobody had gone to our table yet, it probably would’ve taken our server another 5-10 minutes to get to us. Considering we saw her and she didn’t even look over to see that we were there. Secondly, I specifically asked her for extra limes and she never brought them. I had to ask another person for them. Thirdly, once the server takes your order forget about them because they never go back to even ask if you need anything else. That is the reason I had to ask another server for a fork as well because she never came back to ask if everything was okay or anything. Lastly, the reason why I did not tip as well. Once again, the service here is HORRIBLE
Haven’t found a better Vietnamese restaurant in the area. We moved out of Houston, but still make it a mandatory stop when passing by, because yummy! Huge portions, all seasoned to perfection, great prices. Spring rolls and Vermicelli bowls are a must try.
Been here several times and not been disappointed yet. The service is spot on and the food is excellent! This is a hidden gem in my opinion!
My family has been going here for more than 2 decades. That says a lot about their quality and consistency!
Always keep coming back, to one of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants in Houston.
Very friendly faces, just try to come when not too busy. Favorite plate vermicelli chicken with shrimp lemongrass.
And lemongrass pork chops.
Delicious food, the place needs a paint coat, floors and some plumbing but very friendly staff.
Decided to try the chicken fried rice and it was not bad at all. Tried the noodles which was also an ok dish.
