Pho Yen Phi - Authentic Vietnamese Cuisine reviews
14The so-called "fried rice" served here lacks authentic flavor and variety. It's essentially bland chicken and rice with no carrots, onions, green onions, or peas. Furthermore, their website displays a lower price, but upon visiting the restaurant, they charge you a higher amount.
Delicious, clean, beautifully packaged, huge portion of takeout. Was too hungry to take a photo
This place is definitely worth it!
Delicious pho! Super casual atmosphere (think food court) but great staff, not crowded, not loud, just a simple, clean place for a tasty meal.
Bahn mi was off…
BBQ Bahn mi meat tasted only of salt.
I think they mixed salt for sugar in the marinade.
Combination Bahn mi was better. I had to pick out the overly salted meat used in the bbq Bahn mi.
I never had Bahn mi were I didn’t want to eat the whole sandwich. This was a first…
From the other reviews maybe the other food is better.
My wife and I have eaten here about 3 times in roughly 6-8 months. However today was by far the worst meal from them to date, previously it was acceptable (4 star).
So why 1 star? First look up Bho Kho, then imagine instead of getting nice basil, herbs, lime, the stewed carrots, and the beef inside you get the following. Very Oily, weak watery broth, no basil, no herbs, no lime, small amount of onions/green onions, and the beef was practically all cartilage and tendons.
To make it worse, imagine day old rice that was barely warmed up and re-served. That was the meal presented today. To place in to perspective; I'm usually lenient because I make a solid Bho Kho that even my in-laws compliment me on. However, when my first try to imitate what my in-laws can make produces better results than the restaurant known for Viet food. That's bad. Not coming back here again; I just want a decent Viet place around here.
Honestly, I was disappointed. I bought that vermicelli bowl combo and I was extremely disappointed. I mean the combo has all different meats and I had one! Just one shrimp and one piece of chicken and beef and missing pork. I normally don’t like to eat alot for lunch but I was hungry after eating because they skimped out on everything. I can eyeball pretty much my food and Lettuce was probably like 1/3 cup only…. My to go container was pretty empty. I rather go to the Pho Express they have good portions.
If I could, I put no stars. Place was under staffed and needed more people to help during rush hour lunch time. Would I come back again? No, you can get better Vietnamese food and faster time, near the Grapevine Mall - (Pho Xpress). No I am not promoting their restaurant. This is just to show you how terrible service was here. Enjoy your lunch time without rushing your food down your throat or not even getting your food at all. And having to leave without eating. This is RECENT SERVICE, so you are warned.
The spring rolls were great I love that they are rolled fresh & also have cucumbers in them! All though they were the smallest spring roll I've had. Make them a tad bigger and I'll be there everyday!
Highly recommend this place for Pho' & shrimp spring rolls.
Haven't tried anything else. Dinning in with great service on a Monday night. Thanks!
It took 30 minutes for the lady to come and get my order and another 10 minutes for my food to come. My whole lunch was wasted on waiting. And the portions are way too small.
Came here half an hour before they closed. Front desk was not attended, so after 10 minutes of waiting I had to get somebody’s attention from the kitchen. Ordered the shakin beef for takeout. For the price I paid I was expecting the portion to be a little bit bigger, but after I started eating it that concern quickly went away. The beef was very tender and the flavors were good, nice and spicy just how I like it. Overall I felt it was good and I may need to give them another try when dining in.
Vegan pho! Is their tofu and veg pho. I saw other tofu options too. A tofu stir fry, tofu vermicelli, tofu banh mi. Broth was very clean. Sprinkle black pepper, put half the bean sprouts in then later, and don’t forget chilli oil. The woman serving me was nice and happy.
I love this place! Their food is flavorful and delicious. I highly recommend the spring rolls, shaken beef, shrimp rolls, Korean bbq short ribs and Beef Pho!
As for the reviews judging the portion size, they’re clearly not understanding the supply issue currently going on. And I didn’t see a huge issue with our portions. Both hubs and I enjoyed our portion size for dinner being so busy eating the yummy food we forgot to share.
