Piatto Ristorante reviews
17This was my second time here. True authentic Itilian food warm family like atmosphere and the owners make their way around to greet customers! I am honestly never disappointed here and my hubby now has a new favorite place.
The food was outstanding! The servers were excellent. I am so happy I finally made to this restaurant!
Great service! Took care of our group of 12 in an hour with delicious food and great attention to the littles
The fried asparagus with crab was maybe the best tasting appetizer we've had in years. Ample portions, impeccable service and classy atmosphere has made Piatto a favorite for 10+ years.
Food was fantastic, great atmosphere and service. Don't order the rum old fashioned.it's terrible. But when I told them that I didn't like it they brought me another drink and didn't charge me for it.
Great service and food. I had the Papparilla Della Vodka & the sausage tasted great and I loved the wide noodles & sauce with grilled mushrooms.
What a date night treat!
Started off with seared tuna and bruschetta.
Then we both chose the spaghetti with meatballs, and meat sauce. I added the Italian sausage to mine for a "complete" experience. Our meal to this point was simply exquisite. As couples often comment to each other now is " Desert or no desert? Share or not? " Well, yours truly, took the big dive, and got the chocolate cake, and my wife got the creme brule. Both of us got coffee to compliment the selections.
I must say that the whole evening there at the restaurant was what I would expect for a date night; great company, great food, great service, and all for a reasonable price.
We will definitely return for another date night.
Great service. Consistently good food.
My original review was 4 years ago. Time for an update! Still a GREAT place for wonderful Italian cuisine! Johnny and his staff always make me and my guests feel welcomed and the attention we receive so much to our dining experience.
They have a private dining room we've used many times for special occasions.
I highly recommend Piatto Ristorante!
Nothing seems to stay the same these days. I was a patron of this restaurant for quite a few years before leaving Houston about 8 years ago. They had one of the best dishes in town back then. It was their artichoke with lump crab and a butter sauce. I am now able to visit Houston often so I was anxious to go to their newest location and get that dish. It tasted nothing like it did a few years ago. The crab had no flavor and was in small pieces, not the lump crab they served in the past. The sauce had no flavor and the artichoke seemed not to be cooked the same. It was not a bad dish, just a dish I would not order again if I were ever to return. What I have learned is that over the years the restaurants have multiplied ten fold and the quality of the food has declined fifteen fold, making it much more difficult to find a great restaurant.
What a great place! Didn't expect it to be so good. Loved it! Wonderful food and great service!
Fantastic service, wonderful food, authentic pizza, great wine list.and all at a family owned restaurant!
So delicious. Juan our server was impeccable. And Mr Johnny Carabba, spoke with us a while and made us feel warm and welcomed. Thank you so.much.it was our First time in, it won't be our last.
Great Service, greeted in a timely manor and the food was excellent. Gonna be returning to this restaurant.
Always great food and great service. Food was too good didnt even take pictures. Got the fried asparagus topped with crab meat and a butter sauce along with caesar salad and the fish of the day (snapper).
Never disappointed! BEST Eggplant Parmigiana. Don’t miss out on the Asparagus with lump crabmeat in a lemon garlic butter sauce.
There are so many Italian restaurants in Houston, but this tucked-away gem is authentic and delicious from appetizer to dessert. I was lucky enough to visit with a colleague who knows the food scene in Houston well, or I would not have experienced the delights of this restaurant from a chef truly understands how to create magic in his kitchen. A go-to for me and mine from now on.
